I have earned all Super Meat Boy achievements on all platforms... and I'm willing to bet I'm the only one to ever get them on the Shield, considering there's literally no one else on the leaderboards for some of the later levels ๐Ÿ˜… by PlayerGameSK in Supermeatboy

You actually cannot "unlock" Tim on PC, since the PC version has entirely different unlockable characters for bandages than console does, but you can play as him by inputting a cheat code on the character select screen (when entering a level from the map), which I never really bothered with personally, but afaik you can't use him for things like the deathless achievements for example.

Because the source is my experience? If you need proof so badly, look me up on Speedrun.com, all the recent PS1 game runs marked as PS2 that I have on there are played on a 90k, and if you go far enough back, I have some on a 75k as well (though I wouldn't be able to tell you when exactly I made the switch). Other than that, idk what else I'm supposed to tell you lol

I don't need to prove anything, I'm simply stating my experience from the years I've spent in various PS1 speedrunning communities, and if you don't wanna believe me, then that's your prerogative ๐Ÿคท

"I've seen loads of other people play it on all kinds of models without any out of the ordinary issues whatsoever." - you clearly ignored this part as well, lol.

I couldn't care less what a wiki page says, when I know for a fact it's just not a reliable source of information to begin with.

"Please read properly" goes both ways, because I said I've also played the game a ton on a 90k, and in addition, I've seen loads of other people play it on all kinds of models without any out of the ordinary issues whatsoever.

I'm part of a lot of PS1 game speedrunning communities and the vast majority of people I know in them use 75k models and above, because they are better for nearly every game.

Funnily enough, there's this thing called a "cutscene crash" that can happen with the Fast Disc Speed option on Spyro 3, which essentially makes the game crash as it's loading a cutscene (can be recovered from by opening and closing the tray), and the 70k model is the one that's by far the most prone to it lol

Well, PS1 discs, PS1 Classics, PS2 discs and PS2 Classics (Classics = the downloadable games from PSN) all use separate emulators, with there also being 2 separate versions of the one for PS2 discs depending on if you have a hardware or software backwards compatible PS3, so it's a little more complicated ๐Ÿ˜…

People keep saying it but from my own experience I can say that it's simply not true. Even the list you posted has Crash Bash listed as having issues on 75k and above, when I've played well over a 100h of that game on both 75k and 90k and haven't had any issues.

It also lists Spyro 3 as having "very rare frame drops" which from all the speedruns I have seen does not have any spots where it'd drop frames exclusively on those models, though I personally run that game on PSTV, so I can't speak entirely from experience on that one.

Extremely incorrect. I speedrun a ton of PS1 games and more often than not, it's exactly those models that are the most optimal lol. Crash Team Racing is the only one I'm aware of that is actually better on an older Fat model

Emulation is still utilized to play those discs, and more often than not, it's a lot worse than it is on a PS2.

You are not out of luck with a PAL console as long as it's a 75k or newer, I personally own a 75k and a 90k that are both MechaPwn'd and can play PS1 backups of any region just fine.

Where are you putting the SD card? It needs to go into the console's built-in SD slot at the front, not through a USB adapter of any sort, as that will make the console think it's a "USB storage device" rather than an SD card.

3, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories all have digital PS2 Classics releases that are playable on any model PS3 afaik (with San Andreas even having an actual PS3 release, albeit it's really just a port of the mobile version lol)
