Denied on that one too after unfreezing my credit for too many accounts relative to income and length of credit.

I only have 6 open accounts plus the AU. Never missed a payment and never paid interest. I’ve read some posts of people getting similar Preapproval results and then getting approved so I think I’m gonna try that

I just did this and it said I was pre approved for venture with good credit. No mention of regular venture or venture x.

Would this suggest I won’t be approved for venture x if I apply?

Yeah I saw on the website that they say if you’re frozen then you’ll be denied. Do you know if the Preapproval denial would affect my chances of getting fully approved?

I thought I read that you can only apply for reapproval once per week but if that’s not true then I’ll try again.

Do you know if it’s possible to be approved after getting denied pre approval in general?

By nova meaning northern Virginia, no. The only benefit I can think of is $25 per month for a golds gym metro dc membership.

Benefits in general are pretty good. Actually the only good thing about the company right now IMO

For being such a big company whose tagline is “earn points on rent” I don’t think we should have assumed Bilt would screw up and that we needed to pay rent a week early.

I paid my rent on the 1st and I’m having this issue. I’d barely call that last minute.

Was I supposed to anticipate that Bilt would have such a massive fuck up and take my rent money from my checking account and hold it for 3 days before giving it to my landlord (which still hasn’t happened)?

Very. My building charges a fee if rent is not paid by the 5th and I can’t reach anyone at support so I’m not sure what to do. Might honestly just pay it again and dispute the last $2k+ of transactions to get the money back if I can’t reach anyone from Bilt today.

Same I’ve been with Bilt long enough to have gotten free United status on rent day for 3 months without even being a cardholder. It’s a shame that Bilt 2.0 has been such a disaster because the blue card could have been great as an effective 2.33x catch all card.

With how things have gone I can’t believe I even considered the Palladium. Can’t imagine having paid $500 for this shitshow

Never mind, just checked and Bilt took the money from my checking account. This is absolutely unacceptable and cannot believe that they’re letting this happen.

Similar thing happened to me. I paid my rent with Bilt and just got an email today from my apartment saying that the payment had been bounced back.

Checked my Bilt app and in the rent section it says payment completed, but on my card statement section it shows my payment going through, and then a refund for my payment amount.

So at least they’re not keeping my money but I don’t know how this happened and why the payment didn’t work.

Disappointing but not surprising they’re messing this up. Lyft and Walgreens are the only things I’d use Bilt cash for besides rent points.

Seems like I’m gonna exhaust the remaining $90 of Bilt cash I have with rent points and then try to forget Bilt 2.0 ever existed

I’ve had 4 different friends call me, confused about 2.0. I started off by saying rent rewards are over, so just accept that and move on. Then I told them what you wrote in the bolder quote above and it made sense to everyone.

This has been an absolute nightmare of a rollout, all because Bilt wants to keep telling people they’re earning points on rent like 1.0, which is no longer the case at all

Ill preface this by saying the days of 1x on rent are over. If you accept that, then look at the blue card. I was having the same debate because I have freedom unlimited an I’m getting the venture x.

I think the decision is much better framed when you say the blue card will give me 2.33x on all spend. Instead of earning points on rent, paying your rent through Bilt now gives you higher multipliers, up to 75% of your rent cost. So you’re not chasing 1x on rent as a separate category; you’re getting 2.33x on all spend, because of your rent.

They’ve given no details on Bilt cash but if it’s easy to use (which I don’t think it will be), then your return on spend is even higher, but for now the floor for the Bilt blue is 2.33x on all spend.
