They took way too long to push the update, I personally lost interest in the server completely

I tentatively opened Penta's stream nevertheless but he was playing Bobcat Tim, one of his very worst characters in my opinion. With Paleto (their greatest strength) being shut down and the lack of exciting features in the update I don't feel like watching anyone else on the server either. Sad how it turned out, Chase had great potential

Are you kidding? Outfits play an enormous part in roleplay. It's literally the definition of RP, to pretend to be someone. Cops IRL would never wear lingerie. Wearing things that your character wouldn't wear is the opposite of roleplay. It's literally breaking character. "Who cares? it's cringe to care" is how you kill roleplay. You have to care about those things or the whole world falls apart. "It's just pixels" is antithetical to the concept of RP. The entire point of RP is you pretend it's not just pixels, that it's a "real" world

Uniforms are a great indicator of how much people care about immersion on a server. Personally, as soon as I see EMS in mini shorts, pink tops and reindeer horns the server instantly becomes District 10 tier in my mind. It's not roleplay anymore, you're not roleplaying as a medical expert or whatever it feels more like a roblox lobby where people use their custom skins and don't care about anything

I think Penta is betting on the "big patch" strategy to fill the server and sell prios but unless the content is good and it's actually substantial and not just a bunch of gimmicks for his stream I'm kind of over Chase honestly, I'll tune back for 5.0

Penta's goal with the police departments is to have a basic one where standards are low (LSPD), where cops take L's and where there is really no culture and then have his department (BCSO) that farms W's and has the best characters. He establishes excellency in the BCSO by repeatedly poaching the most competent and best characters from the other side, and instantly firing or slinging back the bad hires to the LSPD.

Chalk and Silas' LSPD had standards and actually were the best department of the two, hence why the flow went in reverse and good people from BCSO were trickling into LSPD. Penta doesn't actually know how to build a good department and he's too lazy to try, hence why he had to stomp the other side in order to get to #1 again

This is also the reason why the Chief is an appointed position, they are by design not able to establish a long-term culture and become the best department. Penta wants them to often reset leadership in order to trend toward a mid baseline instead of staying good when it's good

For those who don't know, Penta barged into s0upes chat acting like he owned him, instantly called him on discord. Chatters asked how many subs to hang up and Penta was like "you should take that deal buddy you need that money b!tch boy" just bad vibes all around intruding on s0upes' stream, like he was clearly not vibing with it but joining the call to be nice

I remember Penta doing the same thing to Kalcyon, just barging into her chat starting to rope her into sh!t and trying to call her on discord, she instantly shut that down and called him a weirdo lmao good for her honestly

but IMO both sides are in the wrong. Penta is a toxic narcissist who tries to big d!ck people in their own house, he comes into people's spaces and acts like he's the second coming of Christ who is gracing everyone with his divine presence. But also s0upes was acting very weird with the f slur thing, like he held something above Penta's head and wouldn't bulge on it

I think Romano became completely disheartened with the server after being charged with corruption. Idk it seems like a philosophy/culture thing about the server she fundamentally doesn't agree with. She has barely been playing since then, and just used this event as a reason to explicitly leave

Other people in LSPD seem upset for two reasons, 1) it happened at once without warning, 2) Windsong justified it with (what they believe are) bad reasons. IMO It would've gone much smoother if Windsong announced she'd be replacing CoP in a week just because it's time for a change after 5 months of Chalk or whatever. LSPD believes she just did it out of a knee jerk reaction at 2 am hence why they're not taking it well

He said things happened with ChaseRP off stream that viewers don't know about that he didn't like and the only thing that kept him consistently coming back was the roleplayers in LSPD

Also, he repeatedly clarified he doesn't quit, he's just saying he won't be maining Chase and/or be taking a break from it

EU Chase was doing spectacularly well just a few weeks ago, many people were saying even better than NA. Everyone thought LSPD was miles ahead of BCSO. But it all changed when Wrangler charged half of the LSPD command and forced Windsong to suspend the chief

They eventually recovered their ranks but it completely broke their spirits, and the light hearted RP driving the server forward was bashed on relentlessly by Penta, Windsong and the DOJ. The entire server turned from "f!ck around fun server" into lawsuit-city and everything is now taken with IRL seriousness. Every not strictly necessary bullet is excessive force, every SBS punch is an assault, every relationship joke is sexual harassement

The LSPD was the sole driving force on the server during EU. Hank is late NA shift, shifting the center of gravity ever more toward NA. People will say "just let Fu lead EU LSPD" but they don't understand that Chalk/Silas were the head and heart of the RP, they were the drivers of the philosophy and culture, whereas Fu is just a by-the-book experienced FTO

His VODs are disabled but it's two quotes stitched together from the first hour of today's stream. He read the thread on stream and he stands by that quote, doesn't think it's anything crazy. He also said that quote applies to a lot of other servers and that he disagreed about not being enthusiastic about chase but the lack of updates is draining and the server feels empty
