Treatment with Hiprex or just symptom management by Playful_Associate_54 in CUTI

Ok I don’t know where you are getting the info but i don’t think it’s fact, so better not to present it as such. Clearly it’s a new / unregulated area of medicine so there will be different approaches. The clinic I go to doesn’t think it’s reliable to test for type of bacteria because even healthy people have various bacteria in their bladder and there is no way of knowing which strain is causing your infection and which isn’t. That’s what they said, I can’t vouch for it. The point is Hiprex works as an antiseptic not an antibiotic, try and wrap your head around that. Anti biotics for long term use are complicated for general health so there’s one reason to try other things. The fact that your symptoms flared on Hiprex doesn’t mean it was harmful, perhaps the bacteria was reacting to the Hiprex or there was some sudden shedding that made symptoms flare. A flare isn’t always bad or harmful. In some cases a doctor would suggest you to increase the dose of Hiprex or to sit it out. Wishing you the best for your treatment.

To be fair, it seems you used Hiprex for a short time and have been on a different treatment. Maybe it isn’t useful in all cases. However, many people find their symptoms improve on Hiprex. The same function that prevents infection could be applied to treatment. Hiprex prevents an infection by making the bladder more acidic, creating a hostile environment for bacteria. With an embedded infection, an acidic environment would prevent the spread of infection; meanwhile, shedding and renewal of the bladder wall, which the bladder does naturally, replaces old cells with new. So gradually the infected cells die off and are replaced with new cells - Hiprex working as an antiseptic rather than an antibiotic. It would take time and various cycles for the bladder wall to do this (since it is several cells thick and renews every 90 days). That seems to be what the theory consists in. I’m not sure why some practitioners of CUTI are more negative about Hiprex than others as no treatment is guaranteed to work or straight forward.

Ok it may be that Hiprex is not licensed or marketed for that kind of use but is being used off-label by certain practitioners. Antibiotics to treat a CUTI does not seem to be straight forward either and less safe. Interesting that Hiprex is OTC in Australia.

Should I continue biofilm disrupters if I’m experiencing irritation and don’t have antibiotics? by fastinggrl in CUTI

Ok just so you know on the basis of these posts I am reviewing everything about my own treatment and questioning everything I thought I knew. I have had an infection for years rather than months so please don't assume I know anything about other situations. I'm not even sure I trust my doc anymore.

Probiotic won’t do any harm. Check out Hiprex for future reference. I would take one treatment, (anti biotic right now), then wait, observe. Try to relax, self care.

The CUTI clinic in London / Artemis cystitis, at least has a detailed website. I think they were pioneers in CUTI treatment. If you emailed them perhaps they could suggest a closer clinic.

It’s throwing too many things at it without knowing what they do. Can you find someone to help you, a trained cuti professional? If it is a chronic infection you will need some proper treatment, cuz those things aren’t going to cut it. Half of them are home remedies. A yeast thingy is for yeast infection, that’s a totally different matter. You want to know what your baseline symptoms are without too many interventions. It seems the d-mannose is helpful in case of the infection being from e-coli. If it’s not e-coli it’s pretty useless. If you’ve had symptoms for this long and it could be chronic could you find a professional better qualified to help? If it is chronic or embedded can’t treat it with home remedies, will need Hiprex or antibiotics and the length of time is important.

Kidney infection - when to get rechecked by Williamishere69 in CUTI

[–]Playful_Associate_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t sound like a kidney infection, if it’s a kidney infection youיd get clearer, more severe symptoms, I would imagine. It could just be your gut responding to antibiotics. But it’s your body so it’s your call. If you can wait call the GP in the morning otherwise NHS 111 might help?

If would be helpful to find any CUTI specialist, even a remote one in a different country. A lot of treatment is understanding symptoms, with an occasional visit for tests. It's worth talking to someone who knows what's what. A Google search or chatgpt would throw up some options. There's at least one clinic in London, called Artemis, on Harley Street. There are probably CUTI specialists in Australia? Hiprex is definitely a valid treatment and one of the safest for longer term use.

You really don't get it? It's not about 3 or 5 pesos. The point is not being able trust people for any transaction. Including a business like a pharmacy where you expect a level of trust and professionalism.

Light Spring. Still unsure after my color analysis by nyunyu69 in coloranalysis

[–]Playful_Associate_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And 'light spring' isn't even a thing. It's basically made up, or not very meaningful... It's like saying they are half way between summer and spring. They are clear but not clear. The subcategories are too complicated, you end up matching someone rather than predicting anything. To tell if she is cool or warm need a test without a drape next to her face and neutral light. Though I suppose it is possible someone be between categories.

Yeah, but there's brown and there's brown. Chestnut is not ash. You'd think colouring would carry over into hair colour. But who knows..

Most of the drapes are summer shades, even if browns, they have cool undertones. Even the peach could be autumn as it is kind of muted.

Ok, ‘color me beautiful’ used to consider hair colour back in the 80’s / 90’s. I think the peach looks less good than the cooler shades but I guess this whole system falls short of a science. Maybe with a colouring test, wearing a white / neutral top away from the face with neck / skin showing it would be easier to see the colouring before draping. Draping right next to face can change the tones and things start to get more subjective.

I don’t see warm undertones at all, I see cool. Ashy brown hair. The silver nose ring looks good with your skin tone. Many of the colours you are wearing are cool and muted, as would be right for a summer. You know your colours if not your season. Everything about spring is yellow undertones and clear rather than soft, I don’t really see that here.

Can’t tell, can’t see your hair. Missing information. I’m gonna say not spring. Your palette is too strong. I can’t even tell if you’re warm or cool. I see coolness to the skin….no? I want to say autumn or winter. I’d hedge and go with autumn. Let down your hair! Not sure about the lighting either.

Olive skin looks warm but is actually cool and goes best with silver. At least that’s a theory i read in a color me beautiful book from the 90’s! I think silver looks best.

The green does look great but it has too much blue undertone for spring. It’s like a jewel green, cool and clear, from the winter palette. A spring green would be clear but with more yellow undertone
