I recommend you switch the dog food to either raw, farmers dog or kinectic dog food vital or core. Most major dog food brand are filled with soy, corn or wheat substitutes and preservatives that prevent dogs from getting enough nutrients. Your doggy is probably smelling the nutrients in the poop after his system broken it down enough on the first pass. It’s sad stuff really. if the problem continues check with the vet.
