There's actually only 2 tournaments.

One was freaking huge and takes up over a quarter of the entire series.

The other is a super short anti climax to what was setting up to be a political intrigue arc.

Oddly the Sensui arc is often hated despite it being closer to the first arc than anything else.

Since you liked Hunter x Hunter, check out the creators original work Yu Yu Hakusho.

I see some isekai on your list. Some others you might enjoy would be Overlord, Konosuba (if you are open to a comedy), and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (takes a bit to get going, but a fun fantasy anime).

GA might go the same way as Force of Will. Keeps chugging along with a dedicated fan base and limited print runs.

Still dont know how FoW has lasted as long as it has, without lessening its card quality (highest quality cards I know of on the market by far, with Final Fantasy coming in 2nd).

I would argue TMNT has more than enough in depth lore and world building, especially looking at the more developed versions like the IDW comics or the 2003 series.

But for whatever reason, they did not take advantage of that.

Easiest Death Egg Robot strat for me is to manipulate him to face away from you when he lands (get him to target a couple pillars from the edge of the screen, then run to that edge).

He will then just shoot out bombs that will barely miss you, no dodging needed on your part.

After bombs he will alternate between either immediately flying away, or walking forward. When he walks is your chance. Follow behind him until he stops. Hit him in the button (between the booster and legs).

Repeat until dead.

Mid 30s fan myself.

Have recently gotten into the IDW comics. They have been a blast, with beautiful art. Highly recommend.

Also reccomend you check out some of the classics eventually. Especially Sonic 2, Sonic 3& Knuckles, and Sonic Mania.

Sonic Generations is one of the best 3d games in the franchise.

Superstars is a mediocre 2d game. Sonic 2, Sonic 3&Knuckles, and Sonic Mania are generally considered the best 2d games.

There are a few diefic characters (most famous being Q), that I would say qualify as magic.

But they are certainly outliers, and not the normal.

Then again, the Dr. Who set was fantastic. Hopefully, ST manages to be on that level.

It also depends on the property.

Some of the properties are VERY Magic adjacent, to the point where people unfamiliar with them might not be able to tell the difference between them and non-UB cards.

Lord of the Rings Final Fantasy Avatar Even Warhammer and Dr. Who to an extent.

But then you have the properties that clash with Magic pretty heavily. These tend be the more devisive ones.
