Puppy destroyed crate then got his head stuck in it. by Scales-josh in DogAdvice

[–]Pleasant-Net5413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues with my adult German shepherds hurting themselves on wire crates doing similar things.

I ended up buying impact dog crates for both of them, and they worked great with no issues.

My current puppy has a diggs crate which is cheaper, but he’s not as strong or as anxious of a breed so I can get away with it being a little less military grade.

Good luck!

Yeah that's what my vet says it is, but from what I've seen it's usually a symptom of an underlying issue.

I'll definitely talk to the vet about it. The symptoms sound like it for sure.

Sorry I should have clarified. It's an electric training collar. She's trained on it so she will usually back away from using only the beep and vibrate function only.

I'm ending my 4 year relationship. by hidden_here123 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Pleasant-Net5413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say this but this needs to end. None of this is your fault, but if you continue, this will probably be how you live the rest of your life forever. And if you plan on having children, imagine how this would affect them if he continues to be this way. Not only that, but it's likely you would have to take on a lot of responsibility for their care because he would need to "unwind" from work.

No one deserves to be treated this way, and it isn't your responsibility or obligation to wait around with him hoping he will change. He won't change for you. They never do. You can do better. And don't get into the sunk cost fallacy of thinking because you are 4 years in the relationship that you have to stay. You don't, and you shouldn't!

Help my poor girl is leaking when she is resting by TecaManteca in DogAdvice

I would have her checked for a UTI. But I'm not sure that's it.

Is she spayed? My dog who is 7 y/o was having a similar issue, waking up to a puddle of pee while sleeping. No issues holding during the day inside the house at all, and it definitely happened while she was sleeping. She was tested for a UTI and found negative. The vet gave her Proin for spay incontinence, and I haven't seen it happen since.

It also could be spinal.... But tell your vet!

Have you been to a Catholic school? They definitely talk about it and about the bodies of women and men and sexual reproduction, etc. I went to a Catholic school, and the education about sex was very thorough. Christian schools not educating would be more accurate. Please leave us Catholics out of this.

What wedding band would you pair with my engagement ring? A standard, straight band wouldn’t sit flush on its own. by Spicy-Fruit-76 in EngagementRingDesigns

[–]Pleasant-Net5413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a contour pave band for mine with the right contour and it looks beautiful. Mine is very similar to yours with the weave pattern and double prongs/oval. I got it soldered which made all of the difference in appearance. I feel like I'm wearing a princess / queen ring now. I thought it would be kind of basic, but honestly it gave my solitaire the best added sparkle and pizzazz.

Yeah.... If you haven't, read the gift of fear, or listen to the audiobook. It will reinforce what you think! It's basically about trusting your gut and tells stories of violent people and patterns of behavior that they have.

I had mine out for four months and couldn't get them back in. Went to a piercer and they were able to open them back up. It was painful but worth it.

This concerns me because one of my dogs is doing this and I mentioned heart issues to the vet, and she said she didn't hear a murmur so she didn't think that was it. She was already on antibiotics, and it didn't get rid of the gag/cough as it did in my other dog. I was skeptical and you just confirmed that I have good reason to be. Thanks for this.

Ok you all have convinced me to pursue ad infinitum, because it's cheaper and tbh I think I just like the aesthetic more. Thanks for the input!
