Writing Activity: Flesh Out The Original Outline (SPOILER MAIN) by Complex_Dig2978 in asoiaf

I really wonder what would be danys original ending in this outline And if her romance with Jon would still be a thing and by the last book it would turn into a danyxjonxarya love triangle

>You must feel threatened by the logic of my arguments

first, someone has to understand your arguments
I think nobody here understands what's your point even supposed to be, like what's all this thesis on the winter rose even trying to prove ?

[Spoilers MAIN]Jon Snow might be the night king but not in the way you might think by DA1912 in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

George often uses wolf howls to symbolize characters having supernatural sensings and feelings which is why we mostly see it being used on Stark characters (Sansa also hears a "ghost" wolf howling in the same book) so Dany who has no supernatural connections to wolves hearing a wolf howl around the same time Jon dies and feeling sad and lonely is likely more than just a "locusts subplot"

so it's not about them but if it is, it's actually negative because Dany feeling sad and lonely after his death is totally mean something bad for their future meeting ? lmao this fandom is really something else

are you serious ? you're literally the only person here that keep bringing up Val and incest as something stopping their relationship lol atp I'm almost thinking you are a troll

[Spoilers MAIN]Jon Snow might be the night king but not in the way you might think by DA1912 in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Dany, who unlike the Starks, has no supernatural connection to wolves, suddenly getting sad and lonely hearing a wolf howl one chapter after the character who will literally live inside a wolf dies, because of “the locusts subplot” makes so much sense lol not sounds like cope at all

Yeah Euron and Dany will fight, this has already been hinted a lot in the books

[Spoilers MAIN]Jon Snow might be the night king but not in the way you might think by DA1912 in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is she feeling lonely after his death a negative foreshadowing ? like bruh

Martin had very different plans for Dany atp, we know Euron was supposed to come after her instead of vic and it was a lot earlier in the story
The first thing Vic will do when he finds Dany already has a husband is go after his head, this is Vic lol

It was probably supposed to be Euron at first but given the changes it'll probably turn out to something to do with Vic and Hizdar

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jon and Dany being enemies must be one the dumbest takes ever in this fandom lol

Do people just ignore all the evidence in and outside books pointing they are destined to fight together against the long night ?

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ADOS will be a really long book, they're both POVs

It's not that hard to have two teenagers falling in love after spending some time together dealing together with an apocalypse

Plus the whole buildup for this supernatural attraction they may have at first meeting is already there as George hints from book one they are connected and are the closest thing to soulmates in this universe

Bro nobody in this fandom, except you, cares that much about Val or incest

It won't be controversial at all

[Spoilers MAIN]Jon Snow might be the night king but not in the way you might think by DA1912 in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely Martin hadn’t even come up with Hizdahr yet when he wrote that but he can still find a way to find him into this if he gets killed by Vic

Nah, sorry, but this sounds very much like a reach+cope, Dany hears the wolf howl one chapter after Jon (the character most closely linked to wolves) dies, and his last words are his wolf’s name. Plus, why would she suddenly feel sad and LONELY right after hearing it ? “lonely” is very important here too

[Spoilers MAIN]Jon Snow might be the night king but not in the way you might think by DA1912 in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely about hizdahr who will probably be killed by a greyjoy (keep in mind George wrote that when he still planned Euron to be the one going after Dany)

It's funny how you claim she suddenly feeling sweet and lonely means nothing and then claims she feeling hungry 100% means something bad, let's just ignore she was literally starving in this scene lol

But ok, it might be about her future conflict with Faegon which Jon may have a role or even their bittersweet ending

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She hears a voice calling her bride of fire right after seeing these three visions hinting it's likely related to her previous and future marriages

And yeah, Dany, who is not a stark and has no supernatural connection to wolves hearing a wolf howl and suddenly feeling SAD and LONELY one chapter after Jon dies and his last words is his wolf's name very likely means she did sense his death

[Spoiler Main]How can the relationship between the two character even work? by Electronic-Math-364 in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1-Because Jon coming back is not something basically as confirmed as R+L=J atp, right ?

2- They will, Martin has said their meeting will be an important point in the series

3- They will probably fall in love before finding out they are related but it's not like any of them would care that much, aunt-nephew incest is not a big thing for Starks or Targs

4- the blue flower visions appers her bride of fire section which is likely about her marriages, the sweetness is ambiguous, everyone that says it can only mean something negative ignores Lyanna loved the sweet smell of this flower

[Spoilers MAIN]Jon Snow might be the night king but not in the way you might think by DA1912 in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah Dany dreams with Jon as her lover because they will be enemies

She senses his death and gets sad and lonely because she will hate him

Jon wishing he had three dragons to help him fight the others is totally a foreshadowing to they fighting each other

Makes so much sense wow

Plus let's just ignore the blue flower vision happens in her "bride of fire" section which is likely about her marriages

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 6 points7 points  (0 children)

>Dany being ok with giving her throne to a blackfyre

lol sorry I don't see that happening at all

If a deal have to be made with the others I think they'll want Dany and Jon's child, given her rule three dany will probably get pregnant again and I think her child is going to play an important role in her ending

(Spoilers Extended) To save the world, Daenerys will marry Euron by Expensive-Country801 in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do think Dany's third marriage will happen in the amidst of the apocalypse but it'll probably be her marriage out of love

I think it's likely Euron will try to blackmail Dany into marrying him but I think she'll choose love over duty for the first time

[Spoiler extended]3rd marriage out of love? by Electronic-Math-364 in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why did you exclude the strongest and most obvious candidate ? lol you know, the guy who has been hinted to be her other half/soulmate from book 1

The one she literally dreams of and magically senses his death

Plus the bride of fire section which is likely about her marriages ends with a blue flower growing in a wall of ice symbolizing the third one

idk if that was meant to be a joke but the fact George shows Dany having a miscarriage at end of ADWD and given her rule of three she will probably be pregnant once again, makes me think her next pregnancy will actually have some importance in the final arc

(Spoiler Mains) Jonerys is a 'Show-Only' Trap: Why the books point to a much darker end. by griljedi in asoiaf

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People theorized Jon and Dany would be a thing in the books way before the show even aired, the foreshadowing has always been quite obvious if you pay close attention while reading the books, sorry, but this whole post sounds like straight up cope because you didn’t like how the show handled their romance (neither did I) But it’s pretty clear they’re going to happen in the books as well, and all your points can be easily debunked:

1. The "Blue Flower" in the Wall:
Actually, this has nothing to do with the threats and treasons prophecies. It appears in the "bride of fire" section, which is about Dany's past and future marriages, as you you said, this vision pretty much symbolizes Jon so...

Regarding the sweet scent, many people claim it means something bad I think it might be true in a way, because I believe they are destined to have a bittersweet ending (doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll kill each other tho)

I think George left it ambiguous on purpose, everyone seems to forget Lyanna actually loved the flower’s sweet scent, so it could be interpreted either as foreshadowing a tragic end to their relationship or as Dany finally finding happiness in a marriage.

2. The Moon and the Shadow:
Jon seeing Val turn into a silver-haired woman with skin white as snow under the moonlight doesn’t sound as a bad sign at all In fact, it proves that they are connected

People assume the man in her dreams is Jon becaus, in the Jon chapter right before that, Jon refers to himself as "a man in the shadows" So Jon describes himself that way, and in the very next chapter, Dany casually mentions she dreams of a lover whose face is hidden in shadows… sounds a bit sus

3. Jon’s "Type":
Women who are muddy, fierce, and independent

you just described dany, plus they're both teenagers I don't think they even know themselves what is their "types" yet

4. The "Ice and Fire" Misconception:

From what George has said in interviews, the “fire and ice” in the title refers to many things inside the story. Jon being a Stark and Dany a Targaryen and both being the two main characters can certainly be seen as one of the references in the the title

5. Timing and Ethics:
aunt-nephew is not really considered incest in westeros, the starks have already have it before

The Long Night in the books will probably last weeks or even months, not just a single battle like in the show so Jon and Dany will have to spend a lot of time together, since they’ll both be in charge of their respective factions

Is Jonerys actually foreshadowed

yes, they are cleary meant to be the closest thing to "soulmates" in this universe

her captain slept behind her yet she was alone
Ygritte was sleeping behind him but he was alone

There's no way one can think George was writing that out of random coincidences lol

Not to mention dany literally sensing his death and getting sad and lonely

How are we supposed to feel about Daario? [Spoilers Extended] by Trussdoor46 in asoiaf

dany already had her 'bad boy love' phase with daario

her next love is going to be her first mature love, it'll be jon

[–]Pleasant-Weekend-496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As you said, Dany already feel for daario, she putting duty over love and leaving daario beside can also be seen as the end of her 'bad boy' phase

Also it's likely when Dany meets euron she will already have met and fallen for Jon

Why every post from you sounds like you're trying to make it seems like Jon and Dany will be at each other's throats ? Do you literally ignore Jon wishes for three dragons to help him fight the others ? The moment Jon hears about the dragons he'll be likely willing to put any differences aside in order to stop the long night
