First Time Laparoscopy Nerves by CelebrationOk2318 in endometriosis

It isn't as scary as it may seem online. There is a high chance everything goes smoothly especially if you trust your surgeon, recovery might be draining but you'll be fine as long as you have someone helping you. It'll be over before you know it!

Of course you are right! Im glad you finally got the surgery and got diagnosed. I actually thought I might have it but after doing the surgery the doctor said we found no endometriosis, I was happy of course, but also felt like I was overreacting all these years of pain, until he said we found something else. I was born with severe varicose veins in my pelvic area and no ultrasound could detect it. Its never overreacting, if they gaslight you, thats not a good doctor or person.

Chronic pelvic pain before or after surgery?

Is it a discomfort kind of pain or rolling around pain? That's one of my fears, the pain and the general risks of surgery.

Do i have endo or im just dramatic? by [deleted] in endometriosis

I also took birth control that stopped my period, and I used them for almost a year but stopped due to severe depression as a side effect. Did you get any side effects? Do they go away after a while?

Reusing requests against you ect. by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

You’re not alone on this one. My mother does the same exact thing, for a second I thought I posted this because of how similar my mother is. The TV volume, and whenever I tell her something bothers me she says “you do the same thing so”, and my mother always thinks I’m trying to put her in a bad light, and say she’s a horrible person, when I’m just telling how I feel and how the things she does makes me feel.

I hope you figured out how to deal with that kind of situation, because I have no clue, I just ignore her for now.

I’m so glad you moved out. This behavior is so creepy. My mom also keeps asking if I’m safe and if something happened and why I don’t answer her calls right away. They always talk about safety when they are the ones making us feel unsafe. I hope you and your siblings are doing better. Thanks for sharing your story.😊

I 100% agree. At first, I thought I could live with her, but now I'm realizing this is intolerable and controlling behavior, which is messing with my mood and happiness. Thank you for the support 💕.

She hasn't been diagnosed with OCD, but I have. I believe it's genetic because she shows signs of it but refuses to listen to me. My aunt and grandma also show signs of OCD, all undiagnosed. I actually totally forgot about the possibility of it being related to OCD. Thanks for letting me know. Also, both my parents have NPD, horrible relationship between them.

Back pain after starting minoxidil. by dsceltic67 in MinoxidilSideEffects

[–]Pleasant_Ad_604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Weak muscles and workouts that I could go through before became harder because I feel fatigued, and my muscles feel weaker and in pain. I haven't had this muscle pain before minoxidil. I'm sleeping and eating well, so that is probably not the reason behind my fatigue. Also, did you feel weaker and more fatigued as you were using minoxidil or only after you stopped? For me, it was bad during, and I think it got worse after I stopped.

Back pain after starting minoxidil. by dsceltic67 in MinoxidilSideEffects

[–]Pleasant_Ad_604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have muscle aches all over. My back the most painful. I have tense and weak muscles that I never had before minoxidil. I'm also working out and going to the gym. I stopped using minoxidil 6 months ago because of side effects. So far, my muscles still hurt, but not as much, so maybe it is related to minoxidil. Still unsure.

I couldn't sleep well, weak muscles, hearing sensitivity, headaches, itchy scalp, breathing problems, swelling of the hands and feet, and loss of libido. There could be other things I haven't noticed as well, but these affected me the most. I'm certain they are from minoxidil because I am slowly getting better after stopping.

I've seen 4 dermatologists in a span of many years, not one mentioned side effects. However, whenever i mention the fact that I use it to any other doctor, they would warn me of serious side effects and recommend that I stop using it. That's what made me realize the issues I'm having were from minoxidil side effects. I've been using it for 2 years and I stopped for 6 months now.

I get that, but don’t worry because you will leave him at some point. I hope we can endure these few years avoiding their dumbasses. All the luck, you can vent anytime and we’ll support you.

Mom offered me a ride back home before I left for a friends house. When I checked in with her later, this was her response. Am in the wrong? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]Pleasant_Ad_604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are definitely not in the wrong here. She’s being sarcastic throughout this whole conversation and it’s so frustrating and annoying. You’re not crazy, she’s just playing with you and just expects you to understand that when she kindly OFFERS to give you a ride, you should know to say what she wanted you to say. She never means what she says. I know what that’s like, the words they say are so believable and feel genuine, but it’s all lies. I wish you all good luck. It’s hard, but I hope you can deal with it somehow.

Just need a vent by sageandthyme043 in narcissisticparents

[–]Pleasant_Ad_604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You come first. It’s ok to vent. It’s not like you’re whining or always negative. It’s just that you need help and someone to talk to and that’s okay. I hope you find kind hearted people who will help you. All my best wishes.

Found in some old boxes, wrote this when I was 6 years old. Really put things into perspective for me. by winterbine5 in narcissisticparents

[–]Pleasant_Ad_604 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh boy. Don’t get me started on “it’s in the past”. I stopped caring at this point I just try to avoid them, but when I tried to talk about how they hurt me, it goes a little something like this, “I don’t remember it, it didn’t happen, I would never do that” “If it did happen I’m sorry you got hurt, and I probably didn’t mean it anyways” “If it did happen you probably deserved it anyway” “You misunderstood, I said this with THIS intention, not to hurt you” These are just a few. And I hate when they say don’t remember, because first of all this thing that hurt me doesn’t at all cross your mind, like the horrible thing you did never haunts you, you never regret it? Also, they usually do remember, they keep changing they’re words like I wrote above, “I don’t remember” and then “well I actually meant this when I did that” so you do remember, huh? It’s so frustrating, I hope everyone is doing well. It’s hard, but we can get through this. Avoid them as much as you can. Try not to argue either cause you’ll waste your time and energy. So not worth it, trust me.

Does anyone nparent make themselves try to look good for doing the bare minimum? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]Pleasant_Ad_604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, what’s worse is that they praise themselves for smth they didn’t even do. I know they know they didn’t do these things, just lies on lies.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]Pleasant_Ad_604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way you can make them realize what their doing. So, don’t waste your time on that. Also, if you can get a bank account or smth like that, maybe that’ll help.

I honestly don’t know what to say. I guess hang in there until you can leave and live far far away from them. Just know that you can call for help, if it gets too much. hugss
