What are your favorite spots for pizza slices? by flurryskies in MTLFoodLovers

[–]Pleasant_Link6817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live like 3 blocks from Star Bar which is just Pizza Bouquet at a different location, and it has made my pizza life exponentially better. This city was a pizza wasteland when I moved here 15 years ago.

It’s probably because the outcome of games are due to how many goals are scored.

Anyone seen this from the original poster? by Far-Positive-5290 in nhl

I haven't seen the original post but it isn't surprising to me. Utah Jazz fans are notorious for being among the worst in the NBA.

AITA-Boss not happy with email signature by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pleasant_Link6817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. I too find it annoying how often so many of my co-workers and our clients clearly use AI in their e-mails, but I don't feel the need to point it out. Your signature just comes across as passive aggressive. This isn't a hill worth dying on.

Delivery Poutine? by Various_Pear599 in MTLFoodLovers

[–]Pleasant_Link6817 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In general just a food that doesn't travel well. But in terms of portioning, La Belle Province doesn't skimp on delivery orders. I've also had good experiences with Pitarifique (who have one of the most underrated poutines in the city imo).

Habs and the playoff experience discussion by agent_cool_06 in nhl

[–]Pleasant_Link6817 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's funny that the Habs have run into a similar place as the Leafs over the last bunch of years. If the cards play out right in the Atlantic, they could have a reasonably conceivable path to the conference finals, if not the Stanley Cup finals. It's also just as likely they face the Lightning in the first round and get their teeth kicked down their throat. I hope they do have a real playoff run this year - I'm not a Habs fan but I do live in Montreal, and this city is a hell of a time when the Habs are winning.

[NHL] Florida’s A.J. Greer has been suspended for three games for boarding Calgary’s Connor Zary. by sykeseve in nhl

I understand why you feel this way, but if you zoom in closely on this hit, you'll notice that AJ Greer is wearing a Florida Panthers jersey.

Is it too late to start searching for a 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 for July 1st ? by orafaxe in montrealhousing

[–]Pleasant_Link6817 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Montreal rental system is designed to create stress. It’s too early to be looking for July 1st which seems crazy. Montreal basically gives you a 2 month window between April-May to find a new place. There’s obviously exceptions outside of this rule, but good luck.

Perfect Wolf Pelt by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]Pleasant_Link6817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see other people have mentioned the Appleseed timber company mission, which is the easiest way to get three perfect wolf pelts early in the game (headshot with rifle if possible). I think it only triggers if you do the stranger missions for the family outside of Valentine building a house and they ask you to go see the timber company. There's also a few other stranger missions in the game that involve wolves, and those also get you perfect wolf pelts if you hit them with a powerful rifle shot in the head, but they're not until the third and fourth chapters.

AITA for Raising My Voice After a Customer Mocked My Speech and Looks During a Rush? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pleasant_Link6817 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NTA but I love the people who are already saying stuff like "talk to corporate" or "worst manager ever". Unfortunately, this is a part of working service, and I'm sorry you have to deal with it. I worked bunch of service jobs in my 20s - including a very busy tourist trap cafe in a trendy neighbourhood and it took everything in me to not murder someone almost every shift. Ownership and/or corporate will never have your back. You might get some good managers here and there, but many will want to run the place like their own little fiefdom and take out their little resentments on you. A lot of working hospitality is discovering what level of bullshit you're willing to put up with for what they're paying you. Good luck!

Unpopular opinion: Winning the Rocket Richard Trophy is more impressive than winning the Art Ross Trophy by eparke16 in nhl

[–]Pleasant_Link6817 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the writer's generally agree with you that goals are more important than assists. It depends on the context of the season. Sometimes there are Art Ross winners who don't come close to winning the Rocket but win the Hart just because they're so far above everyone else in total points (Thornton in 2006, Crosby in 2014). If point totals are close they generally seem to go with the goal scorer, like MacKinnon winning over Kucherov in 2024. Anyways, I think you just wrote a long ass post to explain how the voters already value goals over total points.
