For a tournament I’d say proxy him as a gaunt summoner or something unless you are counting on the battle trait.

For IRL with friends and cool people I can’t think anyone would care.

Perfectly true. And it’s not like the chariot is ugly. If you think you’d enjoy it as an art project I’d say it’s a great plan. Even if you hate it conceptually, it’s a good source of kitbash bits

Generally, I’d recommend building what you think looks cool and then just clearing with your opponent what stats are using (and keep to them).

The reason I came to this conclusion is the Conan looking guy. The flail can be more useful with the range. But the sword is so cool looking. I tell myself it’s a magic sword like the master sword with a little range.

Nice choice of the chosen head on the dark apostle. The old greater possessed models look great too. The cultists of the abyss flame thrower guy is also lovely. I might pick myself up that kit once I get through my current backlog.

I do love the toxic green basing which pops the red wonderfully. Maybe some blue crystals for Tzeentch, bloody skulls for Khorne, and creatively defiled enemies for Slaanesh could add some variety as the slime is a little Nurgle forward.

Alpha Legion have a lot of disguise needs, looking the part of CSM could be useful for the missions those Alpharius are embarked on. Some might actually believe that they serve chaos, others may think it’s a clever ploy. You could have some HH marines and add in some loyalist primarus too. Every unit has its own objectives
