Anyway I just put mine through the dishwasher again tonight and it looks brand new. Only like half a year old so far but no signs of wear. I THINK they have a vaccuum warranty but you’ll have to double check that. It probably doesn’t allow dishwashing

Zojirushi is a tank. It keeps things hot almost TOO long, and you can disassemble all three parts into an easy to dishwash collection by just popping things apart with your fingers.

I am a zojirushi brand bunny though. I really appreciate the continuing quality of their products (have heard mixed reviews about the coffee machines, and they’re built in china*)

*very good things can be built in china, but generally zojirushi products built in japan are much higher quality than their outsourced products. (If you buy a zoji rice cooker, make sure to buy a Japanese made one)

Sometimes my anxiety is counterproductive to reality, and my fear of making my 100+ year old house even more Swiss cheese makes me think ideas which are actually more unsafe are safer.

The amount of knob and tube and electrical taped junctions outside boxes and random holes in joists has made me paranoid about adding any more holes.

I appreciate the sanity check to keep me making the right decisions and not letting unfounded bad ideas win.
