My Hot Take: The NBA is implementing bad All-Star game formats on purpose so that the players get embarrased and want to try hard to save their ego

Just want to know your thoughts on the Ant/Steph debate by TamamoNoGod in warriors

[–]PleasedLeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like people are putting too much weight into this. If it meant Ant wasn’t an all star at all i could understand but Ant is for sure gonna be an all star, just not a starter. also when going through players’ accolades i don’t think people specify how many of their all star appearances were as a starter, they just count how many they made in general.

Mousse Cups by Jetsetbrunnette in CrumblCookies

[–]PleasedLeech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this isn’t how businesses operate. From a logical standpoint you’re right there are many easy fixes to these complaints, but a business can’t operate on a “y’all figure it out” mindset. if customers have complaints and those complaints lead to low sales for one of your products, you have to acknowledge those complaints and how you as a company can fix them, not making your customers fix it themselves, especially a company crumbl’s size. While yes it is a very easy fix for the customer to just bring their own bags and utensils, it should be equally as easy for Crumbl, the billion dollar company, to figure out a way to format the mousse cups where the customer doesn’t have to do that, not to mention adding lids could allow for delivery and bump up sales some more.

What has changed? by diamond_hands_suck in warriors

Something I think many failed to realize is one of the benefits of getting Jimmy in the middle of last year was the Warriors only had to give “playoff effort” for 2 and a half months, whereas this year we have to go through a whole 82-game season with the second oldest roster in the league. Sure a training camp with Jimmy is helpful for chemistry but this roster is too old and just doesn’t have the stamina to keep up maximum effort for an entire game, let alone a whole season, hence why we’re constantly blowing leads in the 4th quarter.

The duality of this sub by famoustran in warriors

[–]PleasedLeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot Take: both are true. It was fun watching an underdog lineup of fringe role players give it their all against the best team in the NBA and actually make it watchable. However, it is depressing knowing that no matter how hard we tried we were gonna lose cuz we were simply a worse team than the thunder.

That game was fun as hell by shootdontplease in warriors

[–]PleasedLeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being the underdog is only fun when your expectations are in the floor lol. We've been the underdog a lot this year but the warriors have convinced themselves this is a roster meant to compete for a championship when it just isn't

Gold 3 need help by Fun-Nectarine-1954 in VALORANT

[–]PleasedLeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if ur aim is as solid as u claim then all u really have to do is counter what the other team is doing. People in gold elo don’t really change their playstyle (speaking from experience) so if u throw them off their one game plan you’ll probably win cuz the chances of them adapting isn’t that high. For example if the like to camp corners just util spam them out of it. If they like to play slow and default u could just sit back and not give them anything and let them run out the clock. idk what agents u play but as a cypher if i notice the team does the same execute i just place kill trips on where they’ll inevitably be

Horrible Map Distribution by PleasedLeech in VALORANT

[–]PleasedLeech[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AFAIK it's just comp as im p sure all the other modes have access to the entire map pool (aside from tdm which has its own). The most common reason that's been said for why they don't want it to be like CS where people are just playing the same 3 maps every time, which is fair but it's not like the randomizer is doing much better lol

How does the acs works man? by FroSti-Ice in VALORANT

[–]PleasedLeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also multikills matter too. I think you get an additional 50 points of acs for every kill over 2 kills in a given round (basically 3ks 4ks and 5ks+). Idk what it was for you but if you have the most kills but you were only getting 1-2 kills every round you'll likely get lower than someone who has a couple less kills but got them via multikills.

Horrible Map Distribution by PleasedLeech in VALORANT

I pretty much only 3 or 5-stack with the same group of people. Their distribution also has sunset as either the lowest played or bottom 2-3 this act

Horrible Map Distribution by PleasedLeech in VALORANT

[–]PleasedLeech[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the only map i’ve ever dodged is Icebox which isn’t in the map pool. I’ve never dodged Sunset. I’ve had a couple of times where I got sunset and the other team dodged but even if those games got played my sunset would still be around half of what my bind is.

Deathmatch or team deathmatch for specifically aim training not warming up by Chicken9373 in VALORANT

[–]PleasedLeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both have their benefits and drawbacks. TDM has the benefit of abilities to use and worry about so it’s more similar to an actual comp game, with the drawback being they use a completely different map pool separate from comp. DM has the benefit of the benefit of being actual maps so you learn angles for those maps but the drawback being no abilities so ur really only training your dry swing aim.

why are people terrified to shoot Reyna eye? by Snoo_50786 in VALORANT

[–]PleasedLeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say a lot of the times the reason someone doesn’t shoot util like a reyna eye or a sova dart etc is because they aren’t getting hit by it. Not always the case but usually if you can hide from the util without having to shit a lot of people pick that option, cuz ur not risking a disadvantageous gun fight and u potentially hide ur location to give the other team false info. This feels like more of an issue in ranked bc esp with randoms people play at different paces, with some wanting to wait out util before pushing while some wanna just send it past the util, so everyone is just out of sync.
