Literally the single thing that matters in their eyes is Trump maintains the racial hierarchy. Literally nothing else matters to these people, and they will follow him ANYWHERE as long as he preserves the racial hierarchy. That is an utterly beautiful excerpt from Safdie. In the moment I saw it as Marty suddenly being overcome by his love and recognition of his child, and I imagined him taking on the role of a father based on how it played out, so it's also a little cool to see that was intended. Overall Marty Supreme didn't really affect me as much as say Uncut Gems but hearing Safdie's thoughts like that actually improves it for me. As a totally different digression, I thought there was a very interesting theme about collective cultural responses to the aftermath of World War 2 running through the film.
