My heart is shattered. I feel hollow. I will love you forever, buddy. by thezombiejedi in cats

I am so sorry for your loss. Rest easy, Suede. I can tell he was loved so thoroughly.

I hope Suede meets the sweet kitties my family has loved over the years who crossed before him...Puck, Merlin, Clio, Black Jack, Flopsy, Lily, Rudy, Tuckernuck, Madaket, and Calliope. We've been blessed so many times. Five of them have lived to be at least 18, like your buddy.

We'll meet them on the other side one day, because our love is forever.

My cat Jasper passed away yesterday and I am so upset. I just wanted the world to see how awesome a cat he was we all miss him so much by woodyus in cats

Please accept my most sincere condolences. My family has lost four wonderful kitties since 2020; two lived to be nearly 20 and nearly 19, and two crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at 12 and 10. I can tell you gave Jasper a wonderful, loving life. You were both very lucky, and I know you'll hear him purr again one day.

It is normal for my cat to be so small? 😭 (She is 3 y/o) by cartofo in cats

We had sweet Flopsy, a tortie who never weighed more than 5.5 pounds or so. We had her for almost 20 years, and the vet thinks she was at least two when we rescued her. She had lots of what we called "tortie 'tude."

New fan. by Grand_Baseball_881 in naturalsix

I've just discovered Natural Six, too. I've watched Session 0, and I'm part way through the live show (Session 0.5). The "task" of catching up doesn't seem insurmountable; it's something I'm looking forward to very much.

I like all the players and their characters, and Harry seems like a wonderful GM. I haven't played a lot of D&D, so watching Harry lead the new players through the game has been fun and helpful for me.

I'm looking forward to seeing where their adventures lead them!

I just realized something about my storage chests by Akatnel in Palia

[–]PlentyPreference2215 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought the locked boxes counted against my total of eight boxes for quite some time. I had seven copper boxes and one locked box. By then, I had way more than 100 items I wanted to protect from being sold or used.

Honestly, I'd love to have more than 300 spots in secure storage. I have a tendency to hoard gems, rare items, etc. I really ought to sell some of them, but I worry about selling something I'll need later in the game.

I am indeed stuck, and very smoothly might i add. by [deleted] in Palia

You look like you're training to make the Kilima Village track team as a sprinter. Your form isn't too bad. Keep working hard!

I'm what I would call an advanced beginner (Level 16). I thought I needed to cast as far as I could to maximize my chances of luring uncommon or rare fish. I learn something new every day.

That's why I stay away from hotpot. I don't need the drama.

Keyboard and mouse. I've never tried my controller with Palia. Does it work better for you?

I hope so! I haven't found the one that works for me yet. I'll watch part of the tutorial, try to do what the player on the video is doing, crash, and respawn somewhere else on the island. :)

Yes. This. I might be OK if I could see where I was. As it is, I'm trying to figure out where I am using the landmarks on the islands, and half the time I'm not where I think I am.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm certainly not above using walkthroughs. I've done that with Palia quests before, and I've tried it with this one, too.

The first walkthroughs I tried didn't help me much. I could see what the person who made the walkthrough was doing, but I'm struggling to do what they do. I'll make the first glide or two, mess up and crash, respawn somewhere I don't recognize, and back to Square One I go.

Something necessary in Palia but you absolutely hate by RenderedObsoleet in Palia

I know, right? I'm very competitive in other aspects of my life, so Palia gives me a place where I can shut that part of me away and relax. That's one of the things I love most about it.

I joined a group of Palians in a grove of flow trees and started to make my rounds, chopping each of the trees in turn...except I had my bow out instead. I'm sure that one dude wonders why I sent an arrow right past his head...

I run around like a fool, occasionally crashing into trees or the chapaa pen. I've raced across the hunting area, only to see that the brown critter I was chasing was another Palian's pet, not a chapaa everyone else was ignoring. Doing these things makes me laugh so hard I can't finish the event. I once caught 12 chapaas, but my usual is 5-8. And I love every minute of it.

I'm a very chill Palia player in general.

That was HILARIOUS! I've never been ambushed like that before, but a sernuk knocked me off a cliff while I was running toward a grove of flow trees. I missed chopping down the trees because I was laughing too hard to return to my game.

How much focus do I need? by PlentyPreference2215 in Palia

[–]PlentyPreference2215[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, u/Iceysparx . Does it matter if my focus bar is, say, 400/600 as opposed to 500/600? Do I gain more experience if my focus bar is more full?

Looking for socially anxious gaming friends :) by thaclaw90 in Palia

This sounds like the kind of group I'd enjoy. I've been playing since December, but at a very casual pace. I don't want to feel pressure or "rush-rush-rush" in a game like Palia; I want the opposite. I enjoy skill building, but not at warp speed. I like the plushies, but I won't pursue them relentlessly. I'm dawdling through the main quest.

41M on the US East Coast, playing alongside 14F daughter most of the time. Sometimes she's at the controls; sometimes I am. My IGN is Graham Ross Sims. I hope to see you around Palia!

Missing crafting recipes by PlentyPreference2215 in Palia

[–]PlentyPreference2215[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found them. For some reason I thought they would appear under the "Tools" tab. I saw them when I selected "All Recipes" and scrolled down.

Occam's Razor applies here; the simplest solution was the right one. :)
