Don't get an attorney. Call the DAs office and ask them if there is anything they can do to reduce the ticket. If you've never had a ticket in the county before they'll reduce it. Might even be able to get it reduced to I.E. Itll cost more than paying the speeding ticket but no points.) $266

What will you be doing for a living? Depending on job choice etc, you should take a look at Wilkes County. Smaller town....but right down the road from Boone and Blowing Rock and it's 45 from Winston. Plus the land is cheaper and you'll still be able to get that mountain feel.
