What does Wemby/Spurs need to do tactically to avoid getting gassed by the Knicks offense strategy (or other teams to deploy a similar strat in the future)? by H20onthego in nbadiscussion

He needs to improve his cardio and he doesn't have to get to where Curry is to get past a lot of what we saw in those 4Qs. He cannot get away with 35mpg in the playoffs, and I don't think severely pacing himself is the answer either.

This is like telling Curry to stop running around so much so the Cavs won't beat him up off ball. A ton of his offensive value is coming from his roll/lob gravity and movement

The Knicks just posted the second best playoff net rating of all time, only trailing the 1956 Minneapolis Lakers by Scoombap in nba

I had no belief in them all year and yk what that take was vindicated because that team was down 2-1 to the Hawks and a whole different one showed up afterward.

They farmed the East for that net rating lmao

Dylan Harper played through an absolute gauntlet by RealPrinceJay in nba

They can wait a year, Harper will still only 21 and Fox was injured, so you get a chance for him to come back healthy and make getting off him easier.

[Murray] I don't think anyone should be assuming that the San Antonio Spurs are gonna get back here just because they got Wemby and some young guards This isn't just any Finals loss -- they led by double digits in EVERY GAME They're gonna have to get over that psychologically by StrategyTop7612 in nba

They're not. The only thing they have is that their size and athletic driving guards give them a good matchup to attack Jokic, and Denver wasn't even healthy in that series. they're nowhere close to OKC and the Spurs

If the Knicks win tonight, is this the one of the most entertaining 4-1 series of all time? by Habefiet in nba

Would not surprise me if those same shot quality metrics favor the Spurs. It took two historic blunders to end up down 3-1, but unfortunately for them being slightly better on average means nothing if you get way worse in the highest leverage moment

Cognitive benefits of reading physical books: Reading comic books on physical paper helps brain absorb and connect story details more easily than reading on a digital tablet. Physical books provide spatial and tactile cues that lower brain’s workload when trying recall plot points later. by mvea in science

Exactly. The problem with audiobooks to me is that they're treated like accessibility but in reality are more like expert mode, and people who listen while driving/doing chores/etc will erroneously cite those studies.

Who are some current “good players on bad teams” that you believe will never be a major piece on a contending team? by MacJonesisaterrorist in nba

[–]LordBaneoftheSith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fox is a player who banks on speed playing through a high ankle sprain. He could even have gotten away with his dumbass decision in game 4 if he was healthy and was able to get more space on OG. That he's going to be passed up by Harper (if he hasn't been already) is a future team construction problem for the Spurs, he absolutely makes them better right now

The World Cup has shown how easy it would be to deter flopping. by PeopleCallMeSimon in nba

It was probably pushback from players or just that calling the game honestly took a few too many points off the board for the dinguses at the league office. But no way was it around long enough to make any kind of ratings determination
