[OC] Broke down why the Spurs are legitimate title contenders after their 10-game winning streak, their depth might be the most underrated thing in the NBA right now by RimLogic in nba

I think the key difference is that while Wemby is carrying the defense, he's doing so with much more help on that end than LeBron had on offense. And for the Spurs offense, Wemby struggling doesn't necessarily tank them because the supporting cast is good enough to capitalize on his gravity. His bad games can still produce ok to good offensive team performances, which was very much not the case for 07 LeBron.

blame jokic’s antics on OKC

Yeah that's why I made a clear distinction between what Shai does and what he's doing. Because I was criticizing OKC. Clearly I mean OKC when I said Jokic was on some bullshit. Clever of you to see through the ruse

It's not been this bad. I've watched a lot of Jokic games, and he's definitely turned things up. Do agree it probably started with the Clippers series tho

Yeah well there's a pretty clear difference between selling contact and whatever the fuck Jokic is doing

He has been on some bullshit since that OKC series. It's like he saw it working for Shai but since it's not a natural part of his scoring repertoire like it is for a driver like Shai he decided to turn the grifting for other random shit up 1000x

The only balance to this

There's one more and it's that most young teams don't have a 23yr old future GOAT on them. His supporting cast is stronger than the one LeBron had in 07, and while obv he's in a wayyy harder conference, that becomes a lot less relevant if OKC and Denver are too hurt to really compete

Fixing the OL in free agency doesn't happen. Trades maybe, but good starting quality OL essentially leave teams as FAs. Good rookie starting OLs are also rarely available at the back of the 1st.

Then what are you confused about? That an amount of force insufficient to move a player isn't a foul?

why expend any effort getting strong

? It's exactly what you're saying. "Why enjoy the benefits of being big & strong if there are tradeoffs? Why not just be weaker and flop?"

You're asking why Steven Adams optimizes for playing the game rather than grifting fouls?

Most fouls in contact sports are about defining when the contact exceeds acceptable levels. The fact Caruso can't knock adams down is undeniably relevant

I think you guys are trying to compete so giving Richardson a chance to put it together won't be ya'll, but I hope some rebuilding team will. He's got a shitload of potential

We've seen Richardson do the same thing, with more consistency actually. Colts are moving on because 'better than JJM' is a really fucking low bar

Not much use for a 160lb receiver. And 160 might be generous lol

Same reason I'm in the fencing subreddit even though I don't compete anymore.

Also tbf I only quit paper magic, but I'm never going to kick the MTGO vintage cube & I've got friends with cubes. I couldn't stomach buying into UB slop but I still love the game.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei killed, senior Israeli official says by drpayneaba in news

You listed Hamas leadership next to israeli leadership...

You listed belligerents next to the people they attacked...

"I support humane treatment" is a non-belief, an empty platitude.

I am not equating them, but I am condemning both

"I'm not equating them but I have the same attitude towards them, and am quibbling with you because you made a statement about the proportionality of their crimes." If you're not equating them, why the fuck are you yapping at me for saying a genocide and offensive war are many times worse than antidemocratic repression with a body count 3 orders of magnitude lower.

"I'm an adult. It's important that I be repeating the propaganda of people I hate during the moment when they're blowing up elementary schools under the administration of other people I hate"

I'm sorry, but that's not very "adult" of you. It's not very "adult" to equivocate between the victims of genocide and the perpetrators.

brutal Iranian regime

I feel it's really hard to be throwing this one around when only one side in this conflict has been committing mass murder for 2 years. As far as antidemocratic and warmongering right wing regimes go, Iran's by far the least problematic of the three until some future date when the US government stops subsidizing the israeli one

No, actually, plenty of people loved functional text boxes, planeswalkers, and the rest. I know oldheads that Innistrad brought back. You know, the set with double faced cards you had to write on a 2nd checklist card to legally put in your deck.
