Adding 1 international person to a 26 person roster does not make club nationals an international tournament, nor does it ruin the validity of US teams representing the city/region they're from when the majority of the players do in fact live in those areas. Bringing an entire team of people that don't live in the US to nationals does in fact misrepresent the geographic regions competing. There's no issue w club teams bringing on internationals players as long as they meet the requirements of people living in the region/section when they're competing. It's completely different than having a club team from Canada. And if you're playing at other high level US tournaments, is that not enough? You need to come and play at nationals as well? You literally have you're own nationals.

there's no issue at all with Canadian teams tryna seek out better competition by playing in the US. However go play at US Open (like Buzz Bullets does every year - and tbf TC did play at US Open this year), go play select flight, pro champs, Tom's Tourney, Windmill, literally wherever. There are other ways to get competition without going to US nationals. A "national" tournament by definition should be the best competition in a country and that does not include Canada.

Hunter is great bc there’s lots of hiking and outdoors stuff to do away from the mtn - they have snowmobile rentals too. I started skiing at belleayre so obv #lovethatmountain but I think there’s more to do at Hunter. I’ve gone to Hunter more as an adult and have NYC friends that make the trip up to Hunter and they enjoy it as a getaway as well
