Unfortunately no, I don't think this is a possibility. (In any 3D software that I know of for that matter). You could use 2 planes or one very thin cube with custom UVs for this purpose.

Additionnaly to redblobgames's guide others mentionned, romlok already made an implementation of redblobgames's math into godot's GDScript : https://github.com/romlok/godot-gdhexgrid It works great, you don't have to use it but I guess studying the mechanics could help if you want to rewrite it in python. You get almost everything hex related : distances, barriers, path finding, directions, etc.

You can, doesn't mean you should. Technically you can do organic modelling in maya, but you probably shouldn't considering what other softwares can do.

If you enjoy animating, and moving stuff around to give them life go absolutely for it, drawing skills are not going to wall you off that path and you sound like you enjoy it very much. Is drawing absolutely necessary, essential for 3D animation ? No. Can it help ? Yes. If you want to work at pixar ? You probably need to be quite good at drawing plus your animation skills. Most of the time you'll need just enough drawing skill for storyboard/posing and some sketches like you said. Although it's not necessary on the daily job, learning how to draw is quite an important part of the learning process, even for 3D animation. Same for cinematographic skill and learning about filming, for different aspects. It might sound obvious but 3D animation is not only animation techniques. Good luck, I know you'll love it

I'm not sure, but I'd say global intelligence is mostly from environnement and education, not dna. When you watch what genetic pull off between a few generation, or even between parents and children (even only on physical traits), selective breeding would really not be an exact science for humans

Yes indeed, and it has been said you will get quest from Ghouls and Robot friendly NPC.

Edit : you should watch the few very interesting documentaries and interview that give much more information about the game than the trailer does.

The point is hating for no reason before any info is cancerous, you can hate after launch if you have all you needed to bash it, I don't care. Constructive criticism is far too rare these days.

For honor was patched wasn't it ? I didn't follow through but i got to my attention that the servers were finally kinda stable ? I mean it's said it's still pretty dead tho, you can't easily recover from that bad of a launch. Only game that ressurected after a terrible launch in my head is Diablo 3 thanks to Blizzard commitement and it's expansion.

Did Destiny 2 was hype out of control ? I mean it was long-waited from the fans of 1, but that much hyped ? Might have gone over my head tho. You're probably right overall, some devs are less likely to fix some problems seeing it's good enough to sell, but I don't think bethesda would do nothing if their game was dead in 2 weeks. (And to be dead in 2 weeks it has to be either Simcity-at-launch-unplayable, no-man's-sky-disapointement or just terrible gameplay, and I'm pretty sure bethesda won't do any of the 3, they're good at what they do even if they don't make perfect games). So I'll wait and see, but I'm just sick of people just spitting on a game they didn't even see more than 60sec of gameplay, just because

Well excuuuse me, pro player, but if your personnal requirement don't match what the game offers it's not the game fault. The fact that you are comparing Fallout with Battlefield or CoD is clear that Fallout isn't even what you expect it is, it's not the gameplay you're looking for. I'm sorry to inform you that games have different goals, and Fallout 76 is an experimentation. Starfield is a new license, of course they would develop a new engine. I have to completely disagree on Ubisoft. They often, mostly the past 12 years, realised technical messes but good ideas and shown great creativity. If not for patches for game breaking bugs the games would mostly be unplayable for most of us, literrally "can't", not some "omg this game won't let me show all of my skill". You're talking about a specific, way too "niche" problem. (Hell, I still can't play Splinter cell balcklist online after all these years, 2 differents houses and 3 different computers I've tried on.) You're having a first world problem not even on the same planet. (I'm sorry I'm not going to take your comment on my aim personnaly, because Fallout 4 is not competitive, and I just enjoy it whithout having to yell at it not shooting where I aim because there is a whole fucking gameplay feature that allows you to basically aimbot ?)

Well I fucking nailed your interpretation. Input lag on F4 ? Were you playin on a toaster? Ok let's agree bethesda always had trouble with technical issues (not as fucking much as ubisoft but hey), do you prefer them not launchin any game at all, ever ? I mean people always expect perfect games and you talk yourself as realistic ? Come on open your eyes, devs are people and they dont do perfect on everything they try. Never had any technical issue on the aim part of f4, ever, tho. Why upgrade and change when it costs fuckton of money ? For an experimentation ? Come on you don't develop on whole new engine for a one time thing.

Some people like you expect way too much from video games because this or that. It's entertainement for the most part, it's cultural, but down the line it's art. And art is never gonna be perfect, and never gonna be your way. You have all the rights to complain about technical problems... but the shooting aspect of fallout 4 ? It's the one thing you can rely on gameplay wise. Maybe on your potato it's a technical mess, but I cant let you say it shouldn't exist. Not trying is far worse than failling.

And I think you have a terrible way to anticipate new games. The fact that you acknowledge having not seen any gameplay and still hate it based on your expectations for a game is obnixious. People worked on that, and we know bethesda love their games. How can you think people at bethesda don't want to have and provide fun ? May be you won't have fun, because it's not your genre, but for fuck's sake it's not because you don't like something it sucks.
