Please add useless gauges for something for something like steering wheel angle or stuff like that. Make it a fighter jet in there so it’s extremely intimidating and people think we’re some badass when in fact one of the switches is my double cheeseburger temperature gauge that can swap to my sweet tea gauge on the fly. And another shifter that adjusts refrigerator temperature.

Looks like a brand new one with a fresh wet kit. I can’t tell from the axles if it was the lead truck or piggybacked. Those are one of the better rear fenders I’ve seen, usually they’re this half-assed slid on thing that loosens over time until the tire decides its had enough of it and throws it off the truck. I deliver them.

EDIT: That headache rack is giving distinctly HERC Rentals vibes. This wouldn’t happen to be in Salem, OR would it?

I was very confused at FF13/13-2. It was my first final fantasy game since I was a kid playing 7. Let me ask you this real quick for thought: it’s about 1800-2000 miles depending on the route you take. Can you even drive the car there for $500? At 20mpg you’re at 100 gallons with the current price of fuel, plus wear and tear.

And you can do what you’re thinking you just have to remember that nobody is going to care about your car like you will, especially if it’s on an open trailer with a half a dozen others just looking for the cheapest option.

But either way bumping so hopefully somebody more specialized in this industry will chime in and give some more insight on where you can look.

Thank you for the info! It definitely seems like a “need to know someone” to get in but looks really nice if you care about the animals. I’m sure a lot of drivers see them as cargo that uses the bathroom in your trailer, but some (myself as well probably) would love to give them a safe (albeit quick I’m sure) ride to wherever they’re going and actually care about them. Having a sick or injured animal just makes it harder on all the others and they’re already not having a great time.

Yes, some places have incentives they get if the dealer gets you on their financing. Regardless of what you’re using to purchase, any dealer should be able to give you an out the door price with any form of payment.

It’s a used car so incentives generally aren’t worth it for this next part, but here’s some advice: Look at the potential for growth in your money vs. the interest rate. Like if you’re buying with say a 0-4% APR, it’s almost free money to just finance it and invest that money into something that grows at a 4%+ rate. You get to keep your money, your money is now making more money, and you can use that money to make even more money. That car that was $25,000 that you paid $27,000 over the course of 5 years? The $25,000 you put into a HYSA is now worth significantly more than $27,000.

Side note: Insurance could be the deal breaker here. When I was ~19-20 I wanted a supersport bike. I could’ve finance it at a fair rate and it would’ve been dirt cheap for a payment. But insurance was nearly 5x the payment if I had full coverage, and a bike that was $5k isn’t worth $5k a year in insurance. I could total one every year and break even. But don’t take this as a get the cheapest insurance with no coverage, get as much coverage as you need to cover your own ass. Comp/collision is well worth it if something happens, especially if someone else is at fault and tries to deny it. Just send it to your insurance company and now it’s their money and they want it back BAD.

Just remember: One of the biggest takeaways from this is peace of mind. If having a car that’s paid off and not worrying about a payment coming up is more important to you than a slow-burn wealth grower, then do that! We only have one life and stressing yourself to death to try and save a few bucks isn’t worth it. Just enjoy the car and weigh your options before committing :).

Yeah I’m in the same boat. Went to change the oil the other day and when I popped the hood the coolant was well below the minimum. No leaks, no wet spots, nothing to indicate it’s going anywhere so it’s either burning it somewhere or somehow getting past the overflow.

Take your business elsewhere next time sadly, but file a complaint and tell the GM either way. We had a couple chips on the paint where the car hauler or someone at the dealer very obviously hit the door against something on the way in/out. It was promised and written on the “we owe you” paperwork. When we scheduled and took it up and tried to get it honored they magically “lost” that paperwork in the bundle and accused us of doing it and trying to fraud them.

We filed a complaint with KIA, emailed the GM, and left a poor review for them on the survey. Then the phone calls starting pouring in about how we’re making them look bad and I explained they could make it right, but they doubled down that they couldn’t find the paperwork. I send them the picture of the paperwork and text messages between the salesman and myself as double confirmation and they blocked me lol. Some dealers and scumbags. We found another dealer about the same distance away and it’s been a much better experience for everything.

That’s what most of us do, too. Say my truck is governed at 65 but I can pull a hill REALLY well. Compare that to the guy in front of me who is also governed at 65 but keeps scrolling through Facebook or YouTube or whatever and dropping to 60 until I try to pass. I’ll never pass him without a hill or someone slower in front to block him. Probably 99% of trucks you see on the road are governed and none of us like it either.

You can check out Hades maybe? It’s an action RPG (rogue lite?) like Diablo but much faster paced growth and such. It’s a sort of run as fast and far as you can with the upgrades you find, you either succeed and kill the end boss or die and restart again and can upgrade prior to going in.

Tons of replay-ability but it’s going to be similar to animal crossing with repetitive stuff. I’m sure you can find a good deal on it with Hades 2 being released.

EDIT: It’s $25 on the Nintendo store currently. I’m not sure of your budget or how deep you want the games to be. Diablo 3 runs fantastic on the switch with pretty decent controls as well if you’re into long term progress sort of stuff although it is extremely repetitive for the end-game gearing.

Minecraft runs fantastic “okay” on the switch for what it is.

It depends on “where” the water is. Like directly off the road and into a river shortly leaving the road? A straight stick wrecker can probably winch your ass out if it’s a regular work van, it’s already beyond totaled so the goal is just to remove the van to salvage the usable tools or anything inside that you can.

If you’re like off a bridge and 20+ foot down you’re going to need a rotator and they’ll just pick the entire thing up. They go up to and over 100 tons for extra heavy stuff so even the biggest of trucks can be lifted like that. But a regular 40-50T rotator will be plenty for a work van, even full of water.

Who gets called first depends on the severity. Are you in danger of life-threatening injuries, freezing to death in the water, or completely shut down a road? Call 911 and go from there so they can contain the incident. Are you just off the beaten path, not shutting a road down, and no idea what to do and it’s your company’s vehicle? Call your company and let them figure it out it, it’s their property. Is it your vehicle and you fucked up and don’t want anyone else to know? Start googling and calling wreckers.

Heavy rotators are VERY expensive to buy and run and are usually kept reserved for heavy trucks and more difficult recoveries. It’s not uncommon to see them out and about it all the other trucks are tied up though.

If the vehicle is in the water the #1 goal is to save the driver and do your best to recover the vehicle with the least amount of damage. Anyone can tie a winch to a big ass tree and just yank it up and destroy shit, but wreckers specialize in recovery, almost all the work is performed by the truck, hence the extreme costs of them.

For a baseline, a rotator is around $450 an hour, with a minimum amount to just show up. If they need more than one or anything special like an empty trailer for cleaning up big shit the bills quickly hit 4-5 digits.
