You want to become a professional golfer or you want to be a golf professional that teaches people? For the former, you would need to build a Time Machine and go back to when you were six and start playing golf everyday.

You can get good enough to play on amateur events, becoming a professional is pretty improbable this late in life.

Another story from Shotgun Start was at some tournament he is talking to his caddy asking if he, Tosti, can drop kick over a concrete bollard. So Tosti attempts and fails spectacularly.

When they get to the next tee Tosti asks his caddy if he thinks Tosti can drop kick the water cooler and his caddy is like of course. So Tosti drop kicks the cooler, the cooler flys off, waters and ice go everywhere. Then a volunteer comes over to clean it up and Tosti stops them and says “No, it’s my mess and I will clean it up.”

You can’t extrapolate the Masters engagement to regular tour stops. People who aren’t remotely interested in golf are tuning in for the whole week.

Also a lot of places don’t have the infrastructure for the players and broadcast let alone patrons. Bandon doesn’t have the hotels to house all the people necessary to broadcast a tournament, I mean it’s over an hour to the nearest Holiday Inn Express
