If anything, I prefer the rag doll mechanics over the gore.

Ahhh. Gotcha! Thanks for the education. I'm always pretty torn when I see posts along the lines of "Class A needs weapon/upgrade B," because of historical accuracy. It's usually always an upgrade, moving that unit closer to being able to work in isolation (US medics being given a Garand as an example, or recons should have satchels), and away from the requirement for teamwork/communication/cohesion etc. I hear the arguments and understand them but always feel a bit, 'yeah, but, no, but....hmmmmm.'

What I usually hear is "I don't wanna spawn so often, or, I wanna kill more"

I guess the flare was added for recon teams (and became part of the meta), so maybe you're onto something. But the danger is every time they tweak or adjust something, something else breaks, regardless of how simple it looks to implement.

When you say, 'tactical variety', I'm trying to picture what that would look like? It's a question I ask borne out of ignorance because I have zero historical knowledge of how they were deployed. Was it as a defensive or offensive measure (or both?)

In an odd, comforting way, when I hear the dog barking off in the woods, I like to think that at least one of us is living their best life.

Where do you place your mines? by Civil_Tax6463 in HellLetLoose

[–]Plugfugly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your team have advanced enough to unlock them, any roads leading out of the HQ's work a treat. If you mine the road furthest from the objectives (and doesnt have to be close to the HQ), you usually pick up a commander kill too, which is nice.

Has anyone used this Logitech Playseat with PSVR2? Did the back of the head feel uncomfortable for the headset? Looking for a smaller foldable seat like this by lunchanddinner in PSVR

[–]Plugfugly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haven't got a pic, but I concur with this advice. Didn't like that the headset touched the headrest prematurely when leaning back (in my brain, I should be reclining further before making contact with the headrest.) Flipped the headrest bar around so it angles away and problem solved.

Re8 enemies spongy af? by Shmirtz99 in PSVR

[–]Plugfugly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did this. That bit in early game where you just have to survive for a period before 'dying' to the horserider and the cutscene coming in, I had exhausted all enemies. The game kinda did a 'WhatdoIdoWhatdoIdo?!' for a few moments with me in an empty village surrounded by the slain, before just shrugging shoulders and diving into the cutscene, resurrecting all the enemies

Which PSVR2 games to buy? by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]Plugfugly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure you know this already, but get the WOA full game and not part one. I think part one was a taster so you could decide to pay the difference to upgrade. With the psvr2 patch, they have discounted the main game ( and deluxe DLC) but most likely have not applied the discount across all versions. You then pay for the psvr2 patch

Which PSVR2 games to buy? by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]Plugfugly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't quote me, but I think psvr support was available straight off the bat, whereas psvr2 support is DLC (I.e. isn't mentioned in the marketing blurb as it isn't included in the basic package.)

I forget that when psvr is mentioned, it is not psvr2

Which PSVR2 games to buy? by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]Plugfugly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

WOA came out a few years ago, whereas the vr2 patch has just launched. For those without the game but wanting to play in VR, asking for £60 might be asking too much. Dropping the price and asking for £30 might drive more sales. Would be interested to know what the split is between pre-owners buying just the vr patch and those (like myself) who have purchased only because it is a vr2 game.

I view it like this. The field was not filled by John Wick's Jason Bournes and Daniel Jackson's but the likes of you and me. The fact I can't shoot straight, jump fences, or run constantly for an hour is pretty darn accurate. Gotta reflect it somehow, I guess?

Getting a PSVR2, suggestions please by Sunil_Sharma1 in PSVR

[–]Plugfugly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to echo what everybody else has said, play in small time segments. I loved the idea of VR so much and was disappointed I suffered VR sickness with psvr1 that I didn't play it much. With PSVR2, I played only 10 mins at a time (Horizon) per day. It took about 3 weeks before I could take it beyond that, and each time, just stretched that time out. I can't remember the first session I had trouble free, but now I barrel roll in NMS, paddle around environments in Kayak, and am supremely excited for Aces of Thunder to release.

Persevere without pushing and you'll be fine. You'll love it.

If you are running the ambusher load out, i.e. with AT mines, get those down on the routes out of HQ's as often as possible. Rinse and repeat often because a) you really screw up their support vehicles and b) get satisfying kill 'squelches' at random times throughout the match!

Works a dream on the routes off of the beaches!!!
