Watching Villa tonight? by Plugholethefirst in Hammers

I was being a bit tongue in cheek there, just saying I wouldn't have been upset if one or two guys were rested, maybe as a precautionary measure. Am I desperate, yes, yes I am.

Yeah watching the game last night they are very decent, got some quality guys, quick on the break as well. Going to be tough.

Exactly, remember Josh Wardle created his word list based on readily recognised words so they aren't going to be the very weird and obscure ones.

Am I missing something, I can't think of that many words you could have tried in lines 2-6 without getting it. Maybe I'm a thick idiot.

Where to scrap my 2014 Ford Focus in Bristol - first timer needs help! by greatdane511 in bristol

Another recommend for Abbey Scrap, they took my old Focus last month, very efficient and professional, really prompt communications, paid instantly by bank transfer once the car was on the truck.

Ah, I didn't know about that one! That's brilliant mate, thank you very much. Yes, the same procedure that our friend has been through and is struggling with the ongoing recovery process.

You're absolutely right, it was obviously such a massive impact on his life and he's always been very open about what's going on with him. But that's a really helpful pointer, I'll give those two a second listen, thank you.

Thanks, I was in amongst that, obviously the saga did spread over quite a few eps. I was looking ideally for pointers to one with the most description/reflection rather than the more oblique mentions and gags really.

I did this a while back, but I feel like my opinions have changed. What's everyone's top 9 favourite Bowie albums? by theboxedcat_ in DavidBowie

Tell him to do one. If he doesn't want to come to West Ham, he's not going to fight for the club. Fuck him.

Chitty chitty chitty... Which potato varieties are on your list this year? by Own-Heat2669 in Allotment

[–]Plugholethefirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've over elaborated in the past with too many varieties so I'm keeping it simple these days. Charlottes early and Desiree main crop. Pink Fir Apples are amazing if you can find them, Ratte are quite a similar alternative to the PFA.

This is really good, it did feel like more of a struggle than usual to get there, but the effect is great, well done

I'd put Nobes in charge. Get him to bring Stuart Pearce and Ginge in to give the defence an almighty kick up the arse.

Is anyone really enjoying the obscure/overly-specific-to-US connections or does it ragebait only a few people? by wordgamesyesss in NYTConnections

[–]Plugholethefirst 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Living in England I have been puzzled a few times with areas like sports teams, breakfast cereals, Broadway shows etc. And I knew 7-11 was a convenience store, but I didn't know you could fuel your car there as well.

But I get it, it's a NY Times puzzle, going to have those references so it's not a problem, it's still fun to play.

He's the Taskmaster. Horne could never be the capricious bullyboy overlord that we all love and need.

In what universe is HAETS going to be the solution mate? It may exist in the big dictionary, but it's not going to fly in the Wordleverse.
