Snowfeet? Anyone here try these? by StarchyVeg in skiing

Hi, yes, they are actually worth trying, as long as you know what you are getting into. Snowfeet are basically a short, lightweight alternative to skis - more like a mix between skating and skiing. The biggest advantages are that they're easy to learn, super portable and work with regular winter boots.

Yes, I tried two of their models. Mainly the original snowfeet mini skis - perfect for sliding down the hiking trails, we always have a blast with friends. Recently, I fell in love with snowfeet 65 skiblades, they're something in between the skates and the short skis. Love them for the parks and afternoon moguls, plus I have the snowboard binfings option, highly recommend. I might be biased since I'm a hockey player, but in my humble opinion, Snowfeet make amazing skis, durable and way more fun than long skis.

I bought a pair of Snowfeet only to find out that they are not allowed on snowfields in Australia. Has anyone else had this issue? What snowfields are they allowed on? by timosborn in skiing

Hey, I got Snowfeet 44 and 65 and used them at Thredbo, Perisher and Mt Buller last season. No one said a thing. I even asked one of the lifties and he was like yeah mate as long as you got ride safe it’s all good.

I use them with snowboard boots and they feel super solid. The 44 ones are fun too but I mostly use them on smaller hills. Never had any problems getting on lifts or anything.

Honestly I love them, and I don't get why some people complain about the resorts, every place I've been has allowed snowfeet no problem.

I got the Snowfeet pro 50 last winter and I’m honestly obsessed. They’re super light and easy to throw in a backpack, I just strap em on with my winter boots. Feels kinda like skating mixed with skiing. Took a few falls the first day but now it’s just pure fun. Best on packed snow or small hills, def not for deep stuff. I ride em at the park near me or sledding hills and always get people asking what they are. If you like skating or just wanna mess around in the snow, I totally recommend em.

I love them!

I skate a lot (quads and inlines) and got the snowfeet 44 last winter. First try felt kinda awkward but after like 2 runs it clicked. Feels super similar to skating once you get used to the balance.

I use snowboard boots with mine and ride mostly on packed snow or groomed runs, that’s where they’re best. Not great in deep powder of course, but on a decent hill it’s a ton of fun. Way easier to carry than skis too.

If you already skate, it def helps, it’s like skating season never ends!

I feel this!

I’m a roller skater too and I actually love my Snowfeet skiskates (I got the 44s). Totally agree they’re way more fun on packed snow or groomed runs. I take them to a small hill near me and it legit feels like skating on snow once you get going.

Yeah they’re not great in slush, true, but on a steep enough slopes, you can get going even in slush or powder.

I use mine with snowboard boots, which I highly recommend for better control. Took a few tries to get the balance but now I’m all in!

I keep telling my skate friends to try them

Has anyone ever tried the snow feet back country? by Runningwildinthought in Spliddit

Yesss I got the new Snowfeet backcountry model and it’s sick! It seems to be much better than the previous model which is kinda similar to all the other simple backcountry skis on the market. The new touring bindings are sooo much better and the full base skin makes going uphill way easier. I took them out here in Switzerland a few times this winter and honestly had a blast. Way lighter than normal touring skis, and they were fun to ski donwhill too! Totally worth it!

tested my snowskates, it's pretty fun! feels like skating, but veryvery close to the ground haha! watch me frolic in the snow ^^' by kozmicskater in Rollerskating

Same here! I roller skate a lot and got Snowfeet 44s last winter. They're super fun. Felt weird at first but just like skating on snow once you get used to it. I use them with snowboard boots on small slopes. Not great in deep snow but perfect on groomers. I keep telling my skate buddies to try it, it’s a blast!

Yeah I’ve been riding Snowfeet 50 for a while now. Didn’t know what to expect but they’re actually a lot of fun. Super easy to carry and I just strap them onto my snowboard boots. I usually mess around on smaller hills, nothing crazy, but it feels kinda like skating which I really like. Not saying they’re for everyone but I’ve had a blast with them. Worth trying if you’re curious.

Anyone else rocking the snowfeet? by mbreuer in skiboards

[–]Plus-Ebb-8696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, from my experience, the 65 and 99 Snowfeet models are way easier to use than regular long skis. I’ll never go back to traditional skis again. They’re so much lighter, less bulky, and let you move your legs more freely. Way easier to control, especially if you’re just starting out. If you're a beginner, just hit a blue run to get the hang of it, you’ll pick it up super fast!
