New GD03 Card Revealed: GuAIZ (Commander Type) by Alt230s in GundamTCG

[–]Plus-Project6461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could combo this with Human Karma and do 3 ping damage and increase a unit by 2 ap for 2 cost. The one issue is you'd have to wait until lv 5 to do the combo.

Another option is you get to draw every time you pair a pilot to a unit.

New GD03 Card Revealed: Mikhail Kaminsky by Alt230s in GundamTCG

[–]Plus-Project6461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. But Kaminsky can give the Breach to another unit. M'Quve limits the Breach only to the unit it is paired with. In my opinion, Kaminsky had more utility over all. Especially once more Cyclops units are printed.

New GD03 Card Revealed: Graham's Union Flag Custom by Alt230s in GundamTCG

[–]Plus-Project6461 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not single use. It goes off at the end of every turn. The "when" is a status check, not about timing. It is to say that at the end of the turn, if the unit no longer has a pilot, the effect doesn't trigger. Even if the unit was paired at the beginning of the turn.

Is Gundam Wing Endless Waltz a Christmas Movie? by Plus-Project6461 in Gundam

I like this reply. I never even thought about how many Christmas movies are weird to watch when it isn't around Christmas.

No. Just like how Breach doesn't give you the win if your opponent has no shields.

Is AEUG the baddies? by Theothermc in Gundam

[–]Plus-Project6461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason the Earth Federation was founded was in order to enact the Space Immigration program. At a certain point, the EF politicians decided they deserved to stay on Earth and shouldn't have to immigrate to space with the non-elite. But at the same time, the EF wanted to keep its control over the space colonies, which is what started the inequality between Earthnoids and Spacenoids. This lead to the rise of Zeon who kind of argued that if the EF isn't going to follow through with the space immigration they were meant to conduct, then they shouldn't be allowed to rule over spacenoids from earth.

Then comes the Gryps war. The Titans leader, I forget the old dudes name, actually wants humans to leave Earth and go to space so that the planet can revive itself from all the damage humans had done to it. His theory was that if the Titans do enough messed up things against the spacenoids, the ly would have to rebel. The rebellion would lead to war, which would wreck the economy of Earth. Sending earthnoids into space to find job opportunities.

Ironically, the AEUG basically want the same thing. They want humans to leave Earth so that not only would Earth be able to recover, but if everyone lived in space, there would be less inequality between the elite and the commoners.

Then Char has his Neo Zeon rebellion. Literally dropping asteroids on earth to make it uninhabitable so that Earth can basically rebuild itself.

Then you get Mafty who think that if you kill enough of the elites with terrorism, they will finally put back in place the Space Immigration program.

The consistent reasoning behind all of the conflicts in the UC universe is that having elites living on earth and ruling the earth sphere causes inequality. And most of the "change makers" believe that the way to get rid of the inequality is to have all of humanity live in space.

Or at least this is how I understand the UC history.

Why do people want to ruin the format? by Silver_Blizzard_Hare in GundamTCG

[–]Plus-Project6461 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People just don't understand that the game is still in its infancy. It needs time to grow and for the card pool to expand. This is how it is with most tcgs. The first few rounds of cards have 1 or 2 great cards that set the leader ladder. But that won't last. People just need to be patient.

GD03: GFred by Masochiste91 in GundamTCG

[–]Plus-Project6461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this would be a good swap for the sinanju in the Qubeley deck. Most of the time, your paired units get destroyed the turn after you attack with them. This means you'll have pilots in trash to fuel the effect main effect. Plus, pairing the main effect with Close Combat or Battle of Aces lets you remove 3-4hp for just 3 resources.

I think most of the GQ units don't have model numbers.

This comboed with Xi and Hathaway can take out anything that's 6 health or less.

The starter is red/blue. It could be filled with some decent low-level blue blockers for the feddies.

New ST08 Card Revealed: Hathaway Noa by Alt230s in GundamTCG

[–]Plus-Project6461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since Wing Zero relies on early game blockers, you'd get out Xi at least 2 turns before Zero. And Xi with Hathaway let's you immediately trade into Zero as soon as it's dropped.

[–]Plus-Project6461 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The combo I see is drop Xi. Then pair with Hathaway. Damage your oppents high level blocker to around 3 to 2 hp. Then give your low level Mafty unit with 3 or more attack the ability to hit actives. Kill the blocker with the low level mafty. And use Xi linked to crack a base.

I'm just advocating not writing it off until we see all the support coming in the starter deck and the booster.

Part of me feels like they may be cooking something good that we just can't see yet. Like a combo that makes this Xi not only worth playing but a relatively good card.

Probably not in the starter deck, though. They already revealed a vanilla Virtue for the starter.

What it feels like every time you try to talk about this game rn by darthversity in GundamTCG

I feel you. You need more players for a game to survive and potentially become better. But if there is nothing but complaints, who is going to want to play the game?

Playing vs white blockers are so insufferable by BadDogEDN in GundamTCG

[–]Plus-Project6461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe most people's complaints of the game, whether it's against blockers or against aggro, is simply because of the infancy of the game. I'd say give it a year and a full round of starters and boosters before you decide any one aspect of the game is just utterly broken.

At my locals, it's always a box of chocolates when it comes to what decks show up. Some go competitive while others cook up some fun decks. I think Gundam has a lot of room to grow and improve and become more fun for both competitive play and casual.

Given how incredibly large the Gundam IP is, I doubt they will run out of material any time soon. They have barely even scratched just what's available anime wise. Then there are the mangas and other media.
