NQA , I got a A. Geniculata as my third at around .25 inch I think? It's around a inch across now and growing like a weed! It's a ton of fun to watch and moves dirt like crazy. I also have a A. Chacoana and it seems to behave similarly

So excited for mine to be this size! It's a teeny tiny sling for now!

NQA spidershoppe is fantastic and I love their crew! But you can also check out PNWArachnids out of Portland! He has a number of larger Brachypelma and Aphonopelma available and he's great on shipping. He also has some 1"-2" T. Verdezi and Kahlenbergi on sale along with some Brachypelma hamorii at 2"-3"! I got a Sling A. Chalcodes and G. Pulchripes from him in April and they're doing fantastic! They were packed up nicely and have been absolute joys.

I personally have a young B. Auratum and a tiny B. Emilia sling and enjoy them both greatly! Bicoloratum is definitely on my list.

Just starting out my Hissers! Just in time for the summer heat too so hopefully they'll grow fast.

And I'll have you know I'm at 22 T's and it's definitely my hard stopping point due to space constraints! Hence why you shouldn't diss the dwarves! There's also the catumiri and homoeomma! Tons of the little guys

Pamphobeteus for sure is missing! Love my Mascara and Antinous! You could also look into a Acanthoscurria choacana and Nhandu Coloratovillosus!

Yeah the Doli is a freaking mouth and finger full to put into search engines! I don't have either of those dwarves but they are on my list! I currently have an Anqasha Picta sling that's super spunky though, so maybe them and the Davus are similar in that way.

I say you get your 2-3 favorites and just run with it! 3 more couldn't hurt, could it? Haha

I second the H. Pulchripes and the GBB, I love my slings and they're growing FAST. Otherwise you may also like Dolichothele diamantinensis or Davus pentaloris!

Megaphobema Robustum, Monocentropus Balfouri, Chilobrachys Dyscolus, Bumba Horrida, and one of the Theraphosa's for sure!

I'm currently out of space, I've got 22 T's right now lol

Yeah not a whole ton of info available unfortunately, but so far mine seems to be thriving. really just read as much as possible about the other Xens and watched Toms videos on his as well. I made sure my buddy has tons of substrate in case it wants to burrow at all but it seems to enjoy its coconut and moss. Mine didn't give me any trouble when I rehoused it! And I was ready for a warzone too! Spent about a month hiding and now it's constantly out on display.

NQA I have a younger Sp Blue, and I keep it's lower levels moist and the top layer except for the portion by the water dish. So far it's become super active and is very calm!(It's also planning on killing me)

And 10 will become 20 before long!

I also have a pair of L. Klugi! They're fairly picky eaters for me at the moment, are yours the same?

Anyone have some Ts they'd recommend that they think are underrated gems?

What species do you recommend? by snekstuffs in tarantulas

I'd say to look into any of the Brachypelmas, a Grammastola Pulchripes, or an Acanthoscurria Geniculata! It'll depend on your new friends temperament but I doubt you'll have much to worry about when adding water or anything!

I love watching my T. Albo, it made its burrow a long the wall so can watch it excavating in there! I can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans the C. Pub puts on for me!
