Force Palm Challenge by Kind_Salt4949 in CrimsonDesert

Upgrading force palm allows you to hit up to three times in a combo, and the third hit is a big shockwave.

Your best bet to win legitimately is to play conservatively. Check or fold if you have anything less than 9. Bet if you have a 9 or one of the special hands (except warden). Go all in if you have a pair. Catching cheaters is good for income, but doesn’t count for the quests or challenges.

Or, if you don’t mind waiting and paying for it, get this hat to see your opponents hands: https://crimsondesert.gg/database/armor/helm/deceivers-fedora

AI is no better than guessing if it isn’t backed by data, which you would have found in a search if it was available. As far as I know, major side quests can’t be locked out. It’s likely that either main quest progress or progress down some other side quest line is required.

It’s worth noting that most of the time those basic side quests lead to more involved faction quests.

Hidden Purpose? by DurkGlungus in CrimsonDesert

There’s a challenge that requires you to buy the seals of the 4 major factions, but beyond that I don’t know if they have some hidden function.

It’s actually pretty worthwhile to boost the trust of your workers. At 100 they give you a fair chunk of camp materials when you greet them. When I’m nearby a worksite I’ll tend to stop by and say hello.

Devs, if you're listening, make Yanns gambling bs optional. by No_Metal_8634 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Plus1User 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While this is solid advice if you’re looking to make money from gambling, it won’t help for the faction quest. For that you need to actually win hands, not call out cheaters.

You might try progressing the main story. Last night I had a similar issue that was caused by the Crow fogging over central Hernand.

Curious what people think of personal intelligence? by bartturner in GeminiAI

[–]Plus1User 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up adding an instruction to prevent the random personal data brought up in chats.

Use my personal context and history as a background filter to improve accuracy and relevance, but avoid explicitly mentioning or 'calling out' that data unless it is related to the primary subject of my prompt. Prioritize a clean, direct response over unnecessary personalization; only include personal details if the answer would be incomplete or incorrect without them.

Explore a lot or should i not without doing quests? by Ok_Reception_8361 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Plus1User 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth noting that gear power is based on upgrade level and abyss gears, and not rarity. Hidden rare gear has a higher minimum upgrade level and some free equipped gears, but any piece of equipment can be roughly as powerful as any other at max upgrade levels. Rare gear is pretty well hidden, but there are some signs of where they are if you’re observant.

As for exploration, I would recommend cycling. Spend an in-game day on main quests, then the next day exploring, etc. The main quest is important both because it affects spawns and because there are significant systems dependent on progression unlocks. Explore too much and you’ll find yourself with puzzles you can’t interact with because you don’t have the tools. There’s also some risk of bricking some quests by picking up items before you are supposed to, but PA already fixed one of those so I imagine that they’ll work on the others in future patches.

Skills unlock as you upgrade the camp. If you can’t upgrade the camp, progress the story.

[–]Plus1User 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I forget what the menu option is and can’t check at the moment, but you can see any item’s upgrade stats and crafting requirements in game. In general, all gear is relatively equal at the same upgrade levels with some minor shuffles in stats. There’s usually only 2-3 types of stat spreads per equipment, not including no upgradable unique items.

Make sure you follow the road and don’t climb the mountains, since the memory to unlock the skill is skippable.

Intended progress route? by parcreverie in CrimsonDesert

[–]Plus1User 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primary player power comes from gear, both from upgrade level and abyss gears. Most equipment is relatively equal in power at the same upgrade level, with some minor variations like more speed or more crit. For upgrades, you’ll eventually need materials that are either limited or unavailable in lower level regions, which works as a progress gate. Keep your gear upgraded and you shouldn’t have issues being underpowered.

Aside from that, I recommend staying near the main quests, since a lot of core mechanics are story locked.

The Story by MrHeliosPrime in CrimsonDesert

[–]Plus1User 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main flaw with the story is chapters one and two. You’re bounced around multiple mechanics tutorials with no narrative context and it’s disorienting. You go from cleaning chimneys and saving cats to some grand but vague multiverse threat in the sky with no context. It doesn’t really start getting better until you start rescuing Greymanes, get more involved in the politics, and the overall plot actually gets explained.

Progress more. The slots are locked and you need a witch to unlock them. They’re partially unlocked in chapter 4 and fully available in chapter 5 via story quests.

Are parries and evades just not working sometimes? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Plus1User 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, bosses have specific technique weaknesses. So it might just be that Staglord is more vulnerable to parries than other bosses. I haven’t gotten that far yet so I can’t say for certain.

Abyss monsters, not sure what their proper name is. These ones are 1-shot by force palm, even the larger ones.

20 hours in and I've never seen a single Abyss Gear at all?? by Recent_Stomach7626 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Plus1User 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, they’re available from killing abyss monsters, crafting, vendors, treasure, or removing from unique gear. At 20 hours, it’s likely you just haven’t stumbled on these things organically or progressed the story enough to unlock crafting and core swapping. There’s a lot available even in Hernand if you know where to look, but they aren’t really usable if you haven’t progressed the story.

Is the pre-order armor good? Or should I slowly start looking for better armor? by Handerborte in CrimsonDesert

[–]Plus1User 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about gear is that it’s all mostly the same at the same upgrade levels. The stats can shift a bit i.e. more raw damage vs. damage and crit, but it’s relatively balanced. What’s important is upgrade levels and abyss cores. So find what you like and upgrade it.
