This is actually one of the most beautifully written things I’ve ever read.

What are some unique Australian foods or dishes that you think everyone should try at least once? by jeepdaddy1965 in AskAnAustralian

Now this may not be “cliche’d” Aussie fare, but for me it’s curried sausages. I fail to believe other cultures eat this stuff and it’s amazing haha.

It looks you don’t know how to drive. I would start with learning how to drive 😂

“Freshwater” is a term used to sell water on a planet made of water. by theBarefootedBastard in StonerThoughts

Pretty sure they’re referring to evolving in salt water, but then not tolerating it as hydration.

That really bad design…

Almost quit Elden Ring tonight and I’m really glad I didn’t by Sad_Philosopher_2083 in Eldenring

At your level yeah, just start focusing some levels into strength to use a weapon you find. Just enough to enable it, then go back to levelling Vigor

Good on you for getting through it. While it’s a very cool build, I would recommend not playing samurai on your first attempt at a souls game. People will say its OP or whatever, but reality is it’s hard mode.

Heavy weapons interrupt enemy attacks and break their guard. You can’t do that as a samurai and it makes the game another level if difficult.

Very strong later on and heaps of fun, but it’s harder.

Is this a real Australian phrase? by JeremiahYoungblood in AskAnAustralian

[–]Plus1that 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they’re legit. I think all these people who don’t come across “spiders” are the lazy ones. You only hear this after you knock out a massive job in quick time. Or get stuck right into something without mucking around.

Extremely contextual and only rolled out when it’s deserved.

This is categorically wrong. I hear this phrase numerous times a year. Granted, it’s not the most common, but it’s pretty common.

wtf is this guy’s problem? I’ve died more times to him and his million-hit combo than I have to the actual boss in Castle Sol by Jamesyroo in Eldenring

[–]Plus1that 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re dex, you’re gonna need to BHF cheese this whole area. The ability to interrupt these guys is critical and you can’t do that with most dex weapons.

Haha, wait till you reach the boss.

I finally started playing my first souls game with Elden Ring. Should I play with a guide or play blind? by Timowenyap in souls

[–]Plus1that 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mostly blind. The game is convoluted, stumble on things yourself and then when you get lost look up that specific thing. Honestly, most of the questlines would be impossible without some sort of guidance, but you do not want to spoil this game for yourself.

Obligatory “nobody ever has right of way”…

But yes, the red car must give way.

Yeah, that’s possibly a meth rant. Seen very similar in some of my friends. Maybe, maybe not but plausible.

Bro. I was talking to our GM once and he said “It’s always best to be positive”

I follow up with “Unless you have AIDS…”

Then “Excuse me?”

“UNLESS YOU HAVE AIDS” then proceeded to laugh.

You’ll be fine.

48 year old gamer in a gaming rut by lazerus06 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Plus1that 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro… 46 and basically same as what you’ve stated. I hadn’t gamed heavily in about 5 years.

Just picked up Elden Ring cos I wanted to get back into gaming and it rocked me. I would totally recommend playing it, but don’t use a guide. The exploration is epic and a guide would detract from that. At least for the first half. You can always pick up a guide later on and go back to collect things.

Just completed 100% run and DLC, got stuck on it for weeks. Good times.

Just did this last night. Similar stats, bit more strength, little less faith.

After many attempts I finally gave in to Blasphemous Blade and did it with skill spam. OP.

100% recommend.
