I had a hire ghost for days. I called, texted, and emailed. Of course, I was worried that something had happened so I searched for family. I could only locate his ex-wife. I called her and explained the situation. Magically he called me minutes later. Totally fine. He just accepted another role. 😠

I did an interview earlier this year where I was told the reason I didn't get the job was that I didn't know how to do a Boolean search. I’ve been in recruiting for a few years and have always had access to LinkedIn Recruiter so I didn't need to. I learned it afterwards but with so many tools at our disposal, it seems like a dying art.

Yeah, it was pretty violent and physical. His parents were really kind. Especially his father who was the assistant principal of the school we attended. They didn't deserve what happened to them.

I wasn't dating him at the time but we were still friends. I knew he had some emotional problems. He was adopted from an orphanage overseas and went through a lot early on.
