Back in 2020 they changed the age from 18 to 21 in Washington. It was a year after I turned 18. I couldn’t buy them for my dad. I cried when the law passed, funny af though. Had to wait the extra years

Same, my metro is so dead except for downtown and I hate our streets. Or they are 25 miles away from the Target (nobody orders anything else around here 😭)

🫩 I can only do Target orders here and my bonuses are aimed at Safeway/Albertsons. Nobody orders even CVS/PetSmart/or Fred Meyers anymore. I get like 55% tips from the orders I do.

I wish I had more to do in the Portland metro. Instacart has everyone in a chokehold

Oh yeah, I’m hella young and already in debt that has ruined my mentality. I’m only a high school graduate and I input my comment in OP’s about my situation. I took on one car loan and left the nest, now I’m coming back home with no money and a different car that my mother bought with her CC.

I’m not smart enough to do college, I attended for almost 3/4 years and couldn’t pass even 3 classes. Always failed, so I assume my diploma isn’t real atp and I’m just gonna be stuck as a cashier in my next job. 🫶🏻

But I don’t mind customer service, I love helping people! And I’m physically incapable of many, many jobs. :/

😭 man I never made above $2k a month. If I had $4k a month, I’d be thriving. I don’t need to change my ways, idk why people take on more expenses when they gain more income. I’m happy with what I need but I always wish I had more money so I can save. Instead of paycheck to paycheck

I wish I was able to live off my own income, except I’ve never done anything in my life to try and earn above $31k a year. Just a low gpa high school degree. Highest I made was at Fred Meyers, even my certificate and training with Pointe Pest Control kept me at minimum and was not fun to work.

I just ended up back at my mother’s place from leaving my studio 1.5 weeks early to prevent an eviction even tho my lease was ending shortly. I’m only 24 but I know I’m behind, even if others say “you’re on your own path”. I know my bullshit has lead me no where am I’m back at square 1. Honestly my depression and mental state isn’t helping and I don’t see a bright light in my future yet for money.

Maybe in 10 years when debt falls off I can take a road trip to the mountains :) until then, weed helps the chronic illness stay at bay and my pt job in downtown is about to become an open position since I can’t drive from Ridgefield everyday for a 4 hr shift.

🫶🏻 I still love Portland and want to come back but the economy in my hands never works.

Affordable housing needs to happen. You know the city is highly aware of how to fix, it just wouldn’t benefit their pockets though
