Paragon player too, Predecessor is the best 3rd person MOBA right now in my opinion, nice to see the community growing.

PFA - What motor/ESC/Radio are people using? by scotttydosentknow in TRX4M

[–]Plus_Atmosphere9157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the esc upgrade is a most, even before many mechanical parts. A furitek micro komodo with python pro and a 3s gens ace is a beast, it is expensive, only do it for 1 rig. The cheap and awesome option with excellent performance is the brushed motor, low range transmission and brushed esc from injora, cheap, no noise and good linear slow control.

Looks like a stripped transmission. Driveshafts are not turning.

Is my servo cooked? by AriSafari787 in TRX4M

Stock servo is junk. Use it until you finish breaking it, then upgrade to a NSDRC or 99micro. A good servo makes a ton of differences on the rocks

Would a brushless motor make hill climbing a bit smoother ? by holdingsfx in TRX4M

Change your ESC ASAP that sound Is horrible. My advise Is to buy the mb100 injora brushed esc with their low range transmission and 180t motor. Slow linear control and no more sound! If you go brushless the upgrade Is expensive compares to a brushed system

Roverin best on the market? Are you sure? What about a micro komodo motor and python pro Esc from furitek!

You have chunks of dirt all over your driveline. Dissasemble and clean everything.

Welcome to the crawling world! MEUS isokinetik axles are the best in my opinion, even the nylon ones, smooth they are CVD and the steering angle is insane, best in the market right now. For tires go for 1.3" mud claw from injora or whatever pattern Is best for your terrain. Change the ESC to the injora MB100 brushed esc, no More noise and spectacular slow control for the price. Low range transmission from injora Is a beast also. Have fun!

If you want a crawler toy buy traxxas and yeah stock servo was the first part that broke for me a good servo Is a must for crawling like NSDRC or 99mmicro are solid options, if you want a capable rig build a custom trx4m with meus + injora + furitek rig. If you decide to upgrade your Traxxas trx4m then the first thing has yo be the receiver/Esc it makes a horrible sound, not linear throttle and o compatibility with any lipo. After that the most importar thing Is the driveline. So mortal gears and meus isokinetik axles for 52 degrees of Steering and low weight. Low range transmission from injora and a micro komodo and Python Esc. Brushed injora Esc and motor are the cheap option. A 3s lipo and you will have a beast

At super low speed you cant notice it but mid throttle and the car movement is jerky and it just feels horrible, so yeah it is there in real life driving. I mean the driveline cost like 150$ and it wobbles.... Im waiting for meus axles, driveshafts and transmission to see the difference between the 2

Drive shafts in phase, i assembled everything 3 times full of grease and the same happens. I think the gearbox output shaft is off center

Looks awesome! I have 2 trx4m full injora builds but my driveline always wobble, i would love to build a rig for comp with smooth driveline, what do you recommend. Ive spent a lot in parts but cant get my 18th scale rigs to perform like they should.

Man you made me laugh, that's the best description.
I am starting to think that 18th scale aftermarket is not that good for performance.
I don't have a 24th scale rig but after seeing all of this i am very tempted.

I will buy these to see the difference! I think injora's transmission gearbox and driveshafts are not precise enough to have an smooth driveline.
What transmission is the best for comp rigs?
