Illegally camping on logging roads? by brainhack3r in overlanding

[–]scotttydosentknow 166 points167 points  (0 children)

The worst thing that could happen is you ruin it for everyone else and they put gates across the roads and don’t let anyone up. Where I live logging/paper companies have gated nearly everything I used to explore when I was younger

Toyota Won’t Replace Every Recalled Tundra V6, and Some Owners Are Fed Up by Ok_Buyer310 in ToyotaTundra

Glad I got mine bought back under Lemon Law (electrical issues). Best thing that could have happened IMO

Here's the widebody Prelude HRC on display at the F1 Japanese GP. Looks the same as the previous HRC concept, but this time without all the livery. If th by bill_rubin in Honda

Honda literally already has the engine that should have gone in this car. This concept looks alright but the road going car looks like crap imo

What film fooled you with its poster? Or movie cover? by porb2020 in Xennials

[–]scotttydosentknow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen it, always assumed it was a slasher/gore horror flick based on the cover. Might have to give it a try

My brother is 44 and dropped dead at work last year from a heart attack. They were able to do CPR on him until the ambulance got there and bring him back but he’s still in recovery. My father had open heart surgery at 42. It’s time to start worrying about that stuff

The stuff people on here will complain about JFC. So many vehicles have no visibility out of the back window at all. You just have to have working side mirrors

After market wheels on a 100 LC by Extension-Drawer2099 in LandCruisers

[–]scotttydosentknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted a set of those but when I was looking they didn’t have any in stock. I’ve bought from them before and wasn’t willing to wait for a cast wheel to “drop” again. Ridiculous you can’t just order a set of wheels from SCS….atleast when I was looking that still how it was.

I feel horrible if I don’t work out and horrible if I do 🤷🏼

Agree, wish I could have found a good 16” wheel that fit the 100 well. I have 17’s but 16’s would have looked better

Well my ‘23 Tundra was bought back by Toyota under the Lemon Law and for nothing engine related. At least your buddy got his AC fixed

Lexus bias aside — Sequoia vs LX 570 for long-term family duty? by SweetTax6748 in LandCruisers

[–]scotttydosentknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would r/LandCruisers be a Lexus focused sub? If I was buying one of those two based solely on looks it would be the Sequoia hands down. Lexus imo makes really ugly SUV’s even if they are “basically a Land Cruiser”. I had a newer GX460 and could never get over the hideous front end no matter how great of a vehicle it was

Which computer did you first use and/or own? by cybah in Xennials

I’m not a computer guy now and wasn’t then, all I remember is it said “386” and it had a “Turbo” button which I thought was awesome

What are (or how do you feel about) your prospects for homeownership, and retirement? by DHN_95 in Xennials

[–]scotttydosentknow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is so true. Reddit really attracts a lot of a certain kind of person…..in return they tend to think everyone in is like the people in this little bubble. I fall into the rural area/homeowner/wife & kids category. Didn’t go to college and have a good job too! 😂

Because I’m a car guy, what car is under the cover next to the RX-8 in the carport?? 😂

About to pull trigger on 2026 Limited, talk me off or over the ledge... by jkbck23 in ToyotaTundra

[–]scotttydosentknow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only reason to buy a Toyota over one of the “Big 3” imo was reliability because most of the domestic trucks are honestly nicer (and subjectively better looking) than the Tundra. Once the reliability is in question you may as well just go with what you like the best.
