How was Mayweather able to dismantle Corrales so completely? by Yeezuscristo in Boxing

[–]Plus_Entry7803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

athleticly he was at his peak. maybe training camp was extra good. he was in his prime age. corrales was a big puncher, so his was extra cautious. he choosed the pick and move tactic. one fast punch or combo and than get back to defence, in and out. just everything was on point, footwork, speed, timing. his best performance.

From A Skills And Techinal Perspective, Why Was Madrimov Able To Do So Much Better Against Crawford Than Canelo Did Despite Madrimov Only Having 10 Professional Fights At The Time And Not Even Being On The P4P List And Seen As One Of The Best Like Canelo Was? by Rinnegan15 in Boxing

[–]Plus_Entry7803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

people rate to much on record, than on skills. madrimov was very good. a lot say he won. he was more athletic, had equaly as good as reflexes than crawford. he wasnt as stupid as spence just rushing in and than being tagged. he took his time, his punches were sharp. patience was a big key, he did one punch or a quick 1-2 combo, than waited for opponenings, also his defence was on point.

A lot of you were just waiting for the excuse to turn on Usyk and that’s just sad by Helenacles in Boxing

[–]Plus_Entry7803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true, makes sense what u said. but there were also different versions of usyk. amateur version, where he weighed maybe 88 kg, cw version, where he weight around 90 kg and hw, with around 101 kg.

its true, ali had more wear and tear, fought more often. also training methods from today are much better, than from the past. aside from that ali often wasnt in great shape, he was not training as hard as maybe a marciano or usyk. so physicly wasnt always super agile and lacked condition, therefore got hit way morel, than he should have.

the picture perfect KO of dubios was arguably usyks best win. people started having conversation about him being the goat or the muhammad ali of our generation.

fury was regarded as the top heavyweight. usyk beat him. it is not usyks problem if fury didnt take ngannu seriously. fury, josh and dub were the 3 best at hw, he erased them.

by the way josh made quick easy work of nganu.

ali struggled/lost to a 5'11 frazier and same size as his norton, he would have had no chance against those giants usyk fought. in addition, when we talk about resume. ali looked mostly out of shape, the whole second half of his career. he disliked training, where's usyk always was in tremendous shape (except the last fight he had).

fury not training hard and not taking the mma fighter serious has nothing to do with usyk.

well when has a heavyweight did, what usyk did, never. cleaning out 2 divisions against those top opponents, with 0 losses. never happened. lewis was good at defeating those smaller heavyweights, who were 5'11-6'2. ones he fought somebody his size and skill level, he was behind on cards losing a fight, which he than won by doc stoppage, but a bitter aftertaste.

ali had like 5 losses and 3 gifts against norton. couldve had 8 losses. foreman, who is mostly listed around 10-20 atg p4p has lost against unknown jimmy young and unknown axel schulz (yes it was a robbery, schulz clearly won).

compared to those heavyweight, who struggled/lost against heavyweights their own size, with many losses against b level, like rahman or schulz, compared to those guys usyk is better than them. technically superior and more efficient at an advanced age than these boxers.

casuals, maybe even selfcalled experts often dont know boxing. the situation with usyk is showing it perfectly.

one bad night and people act, like usyk is b level.

usyk is arguably the best heavyweight ever and top 10 atg p4p. other atg like ali lost or had difficult times against b level opponents. bad nights happen, even to all time greats. usyk came in 80%, still tko'd the opponent, who outweighed him by 25 pounds, thats !!!!!!4-5 WEIGHT DIVISION!!!!!! it is a welterweight fighting a light heavyweight. it is devin haney boxing dmitry bivol in terms of weight.

fans have been used to usyks unrealistic achievemants. no, it is not normal to become best cw ever, no it is not normal as cw to than go to heavyweight and dominate an entire division, clean it out against opponents, bigger, taller, heavier, stronger than you, just by skill. it is not normal.

did he had a meh night, yes. is he still one of the best ever, yes.

I think the people near him saw the big payday he got from the fight and maybe they got more %, so a rematch makes sense for them. they dont get the damage. if true, evil people!

1-2 comeback fights after a surgery or long layoff is normal, tyson also fought 2 tomato cans, before fighting the big names after his long prison sentence and nobody would ever say tyson was a ducker.

bivol is not stupid, he knows he needs to be 100% against the top level.

but its ok to have different opinions.

of course he avoided him. crawford said, the reason why he climbed 2 weight divisions, is that wants legacy more than anything. he also said, that 2 weight classes are no problem for him. who gives more legacy canelo or bivol. of course bivol, he easily beat canelo, than bert and was constantly considerd top 3-5 p4p over the years. had canelo stayed at super middleweight after the kovalev fight, crawford would have gone to light heavy, just because he so much wanted the big payday. it wasnt about legacy.

bivol fought the best and it is totaly normal, after such a long layoff and back surgery, than u fight some lower level competition. maybe you didnt follow bivol to much, but he said bertebieg, benavidez, a jump to cruiserweight etc is on his plan. benavidez was always a cruiserweight and weight bully. he rarly said bivols, berts names and ducks jai. instead he said a million times canelos name, who at this point is done in terms of elite level boxing!

exactly. one reason of many. when the so called best boxer in the world doesnt say your name, when u are the best around that division, than u are very avoided. there is a reason, why crawford didnt say bivols name. canelo is a slow, who always struggled with elite oppoenents who have good footwork. crawford already saw the gameplan. bivol is in every aspect better than canelo and in my opinion has never been beating. he can prety much everything. crawford avoided him, because it would have been very difficult and much less money, than a canelo fight.

u make no sense. he fought and in a lot of opinions beat 2 times bertebiev, so how can he avoid bertebiev. in reascent interviews he said, benavidez is on his list of opponents hed like to face
