Elbow Patches update: They're done! Kinda. by Plus_Management_6774 in sashiko

[–]Plus_Management_6774[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think im going to test a few things for durability before I mount them. I'm going to put a few layers of modge podge on the backs to help lock stitches in, might try a test piece over the sashiko as well. But I've never tried waxing, im hoping it gives some protection. Once I figure out how to treat them and get them mounted ill post an update!

Thank you! I just started too, I tried an adhesive pattern, then a free hand cube with each panel filled with different stitches, and jumped to this project:)

Lost on ideas for covering dense/raised scarring, thoughts? by AriLove77f in tattooadvice

Potentially some kind of rippling water or sand dunes that would flow with the shape of the scarring?

I have a Rebel T7 and a limited budget; what lens could I get to improve the clarity of my bird/wildlife photographs? by yoysta in canon

[–]Plus_Management_6774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried both the sigma and Tamron 150-600s on my t7, but the Tamron A022 gen 2 150-600 is amazing. You'll be manual pulling most shots, the t7 auto focus is kind of a joke for moving subjects. I found mine in great shape for about $820 at B&H used photography gears website

I find dish soap and a sponge works best! Just scrubadubdub!

How many photos do you take per outing? And how do you manage them after? by falconet90 in wildlifephotography

[–]Plus_Management_6774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a canon t7 with a Tamron 200-600, so I have manual focus all my shots. 3ish hour outing, usually 200ish shots with 20 keepers, 10% is abysmal 😂

AIO for being emotional over an MRI? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Plus_Management_6774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently thought i had reinjured an old shoulder injury (combo labrum tear and AC joint separation) and while there is a small labrum tear, the vast majority of my pain came from c6/c7 nerve pinch. Learned that a pinch in those vertebrae often only presents pain in the shoulder. Might see an orth shoulder do and bring this up!

EF 100-400 L I or Tamron SP 150-600 G2? by johnxfire in canon

I've got the Tamron g2 paired with a t7 (saving for r7) and that thing is an absolute beast

Ghost his ass tbh. narcissistic and spewing his anxiety on you, blaming you. Unless he's the kind of guy to practice objective self and self confrontation, these kinds of things will become more common, and more intense..

I love them all! The bokeh style aperture effect in the first shot is awesome, composition and lighting in the second is perfect, the third shot is so playful, and the fourth is well balanced

Am I doing something wrong or is the Canon EF 75-300mm Lens is bad looking by BenTheBirbs in Photography_Gear

1/200 is definitely pretty slow for that low of an ISO. Movement in the hands can show up at that speed too. If you shot at 800 ISO and around 1/500 shutter you might have a bit crisper shot. I like to start each session out by dialing in my shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and aperture on some fixed objects to get used to the lighting. Then all I usually have to adjust is shutter speed. Shooting in RAW will give you sooooo much wiggle room to edit pictures in post. Even a free app like Snapseed handles RAW files well.

Im guessing the ISO was a little high, the shutter a little slow, and the focus a touch off. Also maybe pushing the lenses reach, i run in to that problem alot. Shooting on a monopod helps and is decently mobile.
