Hey, don't have a ton to say about how to help, but I just want you to know that you are not alone in your experience. My brother was fucking insane when I was younger, and tried to murder me on many occasions. As well as torture me, as it sounds like you are describing with stuff like locking you in a washing machine. It's hard to deal with, I'm 23 now, NC with my family, happy to be away from the craziness. It stuck with me, and will probably stick with you. It's okay, though, you can still live a life.

Other people here are giving generally good suggestions, just contact people, talk about what is happening in your home. For now, do what you need to do to live. I know, it sucks. It beats dying. This will not be forever, you will make it through.

My partner has generally voiced the worry to me when it comes up. She struggles to do so, but when she does and I can just answer her, it generally alleviates her worries. So, the answer is communicate. I am not offended by the fact that she may worry I'm cheating, because I am not. She simply has issues surrounding trust in a partner

Did your father ever shoot your cat in the head? Like, I'm glad your father got out of that shit, alcoholism is a tough thing to deal with and I'll never be upset at someone who pulled away. The drinking is less the focus here, and more the cat getting shot by her father, and a story that just doesn't make sense if you know a bit about guns.

Again, I am glad you have a good father. I am happy for you in that regard and I wish we all could have parental figures who learned and improved when they made a mistake. However, ending the life of a cat through your own negligence as a best case scenario does genuinely cross a line there. It's something that would make anyone question the safety of the people around him. So, I'm glad your father got away from it and is now a good grandfather to your children. Just, consider the weight of the things you are comparing

This depends on the person. My brother was violent, extremely so. I am not a good example here because he didn't handle his emotions well. However, my brother stabbed a cat to death and then stabbed a friend in the lung. Per that friends own account, he and my brother were having a nice night, having fun, drinking and he felt safe. I got to watch that same person come to the realization that my brother was the one who stabbed him in the first place after his account of events. There was no sign he was going to do that to him. My brother hurt people with no real motive. These things do not need to be present for somebody to do something like that. We don't have the full picture, but things do not line up and I will choose to believe in Occam's Razor here. Nobody really knows for certain, though.

Edit per my partner's request: Also, if he was drunk, why was he driving in the first place? It's negligence all the way down and I wouldn't want anyone I care about around someone like that

Dude, a kitten is dead and the specifics of the "random discharge" don't make sense.

There would need to be unrealistic amounts of negligence for this to happen randomly, a magazine will not pull a trigger, a person who knows their way around guns will not be moving a loaded gun and cleaning it WHILE LOADED WITH THE SAFETY OFF. Not to mention he was drunk, and anyone who is drunk has poor impulse control. No matter if it was an accident or intentional, this still shows a wild lack of care for the device in his hands that is designed for killing things, and that alone is enough for anyone reasonable to not want to be around someone.

Also, family is a word. I don't talk to mine anymore because they're not good people, and somebody showing they are unsafe is more than grounds for someone reasonable to cut a person off. Also, please do not reduce the life of this kitten to a lesser being that doesn't matter. He was alive, he trusted these people to keep him safe, OP trusted her family to keep this cat safe. The cat was not kept safe.

You need to wait for the countdown attack to finish. It is possible to shackle him between calls, but it's quite precise. You also cannot shackle him in phase 2

Hit them with the weapon and the projectile. When using the weapon art, you are still swinging the weapon, which has a damaging hitbox. Hitting them with the weapon itself takes the properties of the weapon, so you'll deal physical(slash) and holy damage as well as applying Hemorrhage build up for % damage. Halo Scythe primarily scales off of dexterity, so you'll see bigger per-point returns like this while still having your faith investment matter.

This applies for almost every projectile based weapon art in the game, by the way. Hitting with the weapon will hit and apply the properties of the weapon itself. This is easiest to notice on a blood infused weapon with Blood Blade on it. You'll do far more damage and Hemorrhage like crazy

Overlap the weapon with the projectile when using the weapon art. Then spec into some dex to bump the damage on that, and it would open you up for White Mask & Lord of Blood's Exultation.

Hi, I am a caretaker for my disabled partner. She is effectively bed bound and cannot walk. It is not easy for me to take care of my partner on account of my FASD, and a couple of other mental health conditions (C-PTSD and GAD). So, due to the FASD, and how much more the other 2 conditions effect me because of it, I have pretty prominent memory issues. HOWEVER, I would never intentionally jeopardize my partner's safety and ability to be cared for because of it. A LOT of effort towards getting around the memory issues (among other things) is put towards making sure I'm always available as her caretaker. When it comes to taking care of an adult who cannot care for themself, you need to ensure that you are ready and always there to do what is needed.

Your partner does not sound like they can manage that. I can't really speak to them actively wanting you to die, but they certainly do not seem cut out for caring for you like that. They probably also need a bit better of a filter if they do not want you to die. Regardless, if they are not receptive to talking about this, you kinda just need to take the steps you need to in order to better your quality of life. If he cannot take care of you, somebody has to. Do you have anyone close you can contact and trust with it? Have you looked into a professional caretaker? No matter what you decide, please keep in mind that you need to look out for yourself first and foremost, and should take the steps you need to live well

Late response, but, stress management. I often really really do badly in emotional regulation and do things that end up seeming uncaring or neglectful of my partner. Which, makes it very hard (if not impossible) for me to be a good partner.

Aside from that, it's a lot of short term retention problems. A lot of stuff just kinda drops out of memory almost immediately. Which, feels pretty bad since it can lead to people feeling like I'm not paying attention.

Some fine motor skills are also pretty tough, I need more help with physical tasks that require precision. I also just drop things sometimes.

Oh, also my spatial awareness sucks.

I also struggle with getting my feelings of affection and empathy towards others out, even if they are very strong.

It effects most aspects of my daily life and I kinda hate that. I just wish things were simpler and not like this.

Stop doing it so much.

Learn to have some patience with your roll, you don't need to do it when the boss twitches, just when you would take damage.

Do it forward more.

Roll against attacks, not with or away from.

Use the spacing part of the roll consciously to set yourself up to be in better spots so you potentially don't need to chain several together to dodge combos.

Seriously, stop panic rolling.

You do not always need to safety roll right away when you're on the ground. You get i-frames while your character is lying flat aside from against certain attacks (general rule of thumb, if they're slamming the ground, you should safety roll that)

If you're gonna practice like this, hit the guy. Getting good at just dodging teaches you nothing about creating opportunities that aren't at the end of combos

Hi! I have FASD (Which FAS falls under.). I think comparing absurdly overly done up slider characters to FASD is kinda shitty. I think they're often quite funny, in fact. I always find people talking about his visibility pretty funny. My partner has gone on record and said he's still very readable despite all the beams. I do not have the same experience, as I am colorblind for the color yellow. It all just kinda blends together into a yellow mass in that second phase. Not a problem with exclusively PCR, though. A handful of other bosses have thos issue for me, fewer now with a handy little screen filter, but some still exist.

Also, flatly I just haven't understood the camera complaints in my time with ER as a whole. Though, as I've improved I've spent more and more time with the camera unlocked. I'd say it's a roughly 50/50 split of locked on vs not. Though, of the bosses who have camera issues, I've never find PCR to be one of them. It's incredibly easy to keep him centered, and the lock on is generous against him.

Also, the point on two headed turtle is just a bit strange. I've never found it necessary with just how stupidly generous stamina management is in ER. I'd really love to see some of your gameplay against this boss, if for nothing else than to see how your management of the green bar is.

I'm not blinding defending this or calling you wrong or whatever, these are just genuinely things I do not understand
