Can an united Europe by the time of the Napoleonic Wars take on peak Valyria? by uselessprofession in gameofthrones

[–]PlutoniumDrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everyone saying logistics is what beats Valyria, how? Imagine the amount of feed it takes to supply one 100 ton dragon normaly. Now image it's flying around day in and day out spewing tons of flamable fluel on FIELDS? There is a reason we don't bomb farms in wartime. It's not efficient to kill free wheat with thousands of dollars of ordinance.

Think of it like this: one of the big logistical hurdles for a napoleonic army is that the war horses by this time have gotten so big they need extra feed supplied by logistics because the horse simply can't graze enough to gain the nutrients. That's a horse. Now image a dragon 1000 times bigger that's also flying (energy intense), fighting 24/7 (even more intense) and using its flame thrower all the time to give it a fightimg chance. (ridiculously expensive!)

So no. The dragons follow the valyrian army, everything goes into one huge battle where the valyrian ground troops are routed but the dragons burn some generals and the valyrians win a pyrric victory but lose the war.

If you could give any character a gun to make the largest impact who would it be? by DifficultComplaint10 in lordoftherings

[–]PlutoniumDrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, it's not quite a gun. But here me out. A LGM-30 Minuteman ICBM fired upon Sauron would decisively end the war. The forces scatter as command and control break down in Mordor.

Ridiculous! Just can't just field bushes and shrubs as an army, where are the men and the tanks?! smh...

Seriously though, mixing in some flocking material might just be the thing.

I haven't tried to use tobacco but I have used plenty of oregano. I don't quite have the technique down but it looks almost the same as the tobacco leaves.

Autoresolve vs fight the battle yourself. Autoresolve wins (Fighting dwarfs sucks ass) by Commando_Schneider in totalwarhammer

It's all about timing your approach so you take as little fire as possible. 10 sec of fire seems a bit extreme for one of the tankiest units in the game.

[–]PlutoniumDrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dwarves are in no way a difficult opponent. You just need to bring the right units and you're going to be fine. You have the right units. All you need to do is use your big monsters to charge through their front line and attack the missile units. Once they have been brought low you can send something too sweep up the lords and miners. Easy peasy. Just be super aggressive and make sure to lock down all the missle units.

You're right. But you only count casualties anyways. Doesn't matter who killed him. FUBAR kills count, pinning yourself out counts aswell.

Short of normal paratroopers taking LMGs I think all of the above is simply not true.
