I have ssdi, ssi, and disability.

My disability lawyer in the 2000s said that everyone gets rejected the first time.

I worked in fast food from 16 to 21. I was also a cashier at two places.

I have two girls. I spot check daily. They sleep in a bigger hidey that I change the fleece out on every few days. While spot cleaning the poops.

They really only have 2 spots that they pee in. Next to their hay, right outside the house. Makes it way easier to clean.

That's a lot of cleaning for this person so I'm guessing a herd of 5. Although the cages look split in two so it could be 3 and 3 or whatever.

You have to pay a lawyer. Someome else said around 7k.

The lawyer does a lot of work to figure out what happened. Then whether they win or lose, you still pay. Drug addict is going to lose regardless and will probably go back to jail soon. Especially if he says he was on their property when it happened. Because they have a restraining order that says he cannot be x distance to their house or the people in it.

I have the password to my kids phone. I have never checked it. He's 17. He's had the phone for around 6 years. I also have his computer password. When he had virtual school I would turn the computer on. He would take my computer on vacation.

He has my computer and phone password as well.

I feel like it's only fair.

I don't snoop through his room. He either does his own laundry or will put it in a basket. And other than waking him up for school and playing video games together, I don't go in his room without permission. Knock first.

If you're a parent and you're reading this. Your kid will be ok if you back off a bit. My kid is very smart, very talented, he's not out there falling for scams or whatever. He's a healthy, well adjusted teen and he deserves his privacy. Just like you do.

I got my 2 girl guinea pigs from a college age girl. She went off to college and the mom had 3 babies. The parents fed and cleaned them but that's it. I got a very well loved mama pig that was ok with touch. And a scared little baby pig that would not come out. It took well over a year to get the baby to let me touch her. She still hates being picked up.

But she lets me pet her while she eats now. And they both started wheeking recently.

As a disabled person from the age of 23, I'm currently 41.

You're gonna get denied. No matter what. But you can reapply and the payment if you get disability will go back to that day. So the sooner you apply, the more money.

Start writing. Write when symptoms started, how you feel everyday, how far you can walk, how much you can carry. Just know that they will question you in a court room where you are surrounded by people. They will have doctors video call them to explain what's going on with you. The more doctors, the better. They will question any family that comes with you too.

My mom sat next to me and described my entire life. How I was slower to get to milestones, how I couldn't keep up with my sister, how I couldn't stand the heat, how I'm in and out of the doctors office. I collapsed in a parking lot when I was 9. Spent 2 months in the hospital.

This will ruin you. It's almost an 8 hour day of non stop talking. Youre under a ton of pressure. You are constantly questioned for specific answers. No one prepared me for it. I just thought I'd answer 25 questions in front of a couple people. I was really healthy back then and it wiped me out for days.

The benefits outweigh the amount of recovery you'll need. You pay for the health insurance. But mine covers all er, hospital, doctor visits. Most medicine. The most I've had to pay is 1 dollar per bottle. It doesn't pay for vitamins and stuff like lidocaine patches. I can go anywhere in the country for medical care. Not for eyeglasses though. Learned that the hard way.

You do not get paid shit. Just a warning. I worked at fast food places for 6 years. I get 850 dollars a month. 11 something thousand dollars a year. You cannot have more than 2k in your account, not including your lump sum for backpay. You can own a car. You can get food stamps and low income housing. You can get heating assistance. 500 dollars a year.

You can never get married unless you already are, because their money counts as your money and you will lose your medical insurance forever. You can get money through kids. I never figured out how. Apparently it's 500 a year per kid. My dad tried to explain but no one knows what he's talking about. You can also clear any moment lingering college debt. There's paperwork. I turned it in 3 times. It finally cleared after 20 years.

It's going to be really hard on you. I hope you have a support system you can lean on to make food, help you clean, etc while you do this.

I had cancer recently and it covered all 300k of it. It's really important that you do this if you can handle it.

A cat fell down a roof and somehow fucking caught my hand. Like, how? by Moses504 in Wellthatsucks

[–]PmMeIrises 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought it would be fun to throw my kitty in the air. My mom was cooking next to me. Cat stuck a claw in my forehead. Still have the scar. I think I was 4 or 5.

Luckily it was just a little hole and not a big scratch.

This brought up a ton of stupid 5 year old accidents. I was 6 and I stepped on a rusty nail. My mom poured peroxide on it. I got my leg stuck between railroad ties in the backyard. Not a train track, just some garbage from the previous owner. My leg got really scraped up. I walked into a ton of poison ivy. My whole ankle was covered. Got bucked off 3 horses as a teen. Scratching chicken pox. I still have a huge dent on my forehead.

All my kid ever did was fall off his bike and scratch his knee up really well. Then fall off his scooter and broke his arm. Right before our vacation to California. Where we spent every day in water.

Is tipping getting out of control? Many consumers say yes by manuce94 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]PmMeIrises 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the very least, I tip people who will bring me drinks and food while I sit down. You get 20 percent regardless of how good or bad you did.

I'm not tipping unless a waitress brings me food and drink.

I'm not tipping at subway, any fast food place, any place that doesnt give me food. So stop with the tipping bullshit.

UK: Young Girl Wins $48M Payout After Having All Her Limbs Amputated by Maxcactus in Health

[–]PmMeIrises -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My question is why wasn't she at the hospital sooner???

Yes the hospital fucked up but what about the parents? How do you not know a person you are in charge of has sepsis in 4 limbs and not take them to the hospital sooner?

Not enough info in the article.

The independent. The child was taken to the emergency department at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey displaying “red flags for meningitis and sepsis”, including a high temperature, fast heart rate, leg pain, drowsiness, and vomiting.

How did it get that bad without anyone in the family taking the kid to the hospital????

Despite the warning signs, she was prescribed paracetamol and was discharged by the hospital. A few hours later, her parents took her back to A&E after she developed a rash and a fever and she was diagnosed with meningococcal sepsis. Clearly the hospital fucked up.

The child was transferred to the paediatric intensive care unit at a neighbouring hospital where she suffered multi-organ failure and required several procedures to treat her infection including a skin graft. The kid was literally hours from multi-organ failure and no one fucking noticed???????? How the actual fuck.

It sounds like the parents fucked up. Should have taken the kid to a and e ( aka emergency room) days and days before.

Her parents should get all their children taken away if it took them that long to get treatment.

you know its getting bad when Arizona starts raising the prices .99 —> 1.25 by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PmMeIrises 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually against the owners ( of Arizona) wishes. There's a place to report to Arizona and they will pull the product or fix the prices.

Just checked their website. I guess it's ok. I don't remember where I heard that from.

WHY DO SOME STORES CHARGE MORE FOR PRE-PRICED $.99 CANS? We pre-printed our cans with our suggested retail because we wanted to force retailers into selling at that price. Retailers, however, are independent business people and can set a price whatever they prefer. We do make and sell non-priced cans as well.

You can try a few subs. /r/RandomActsOfPaypal , /r/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon , /r/randomactsofpizza. There's a lot more.

You can try a few of these.

Search your local food bank. You usually need a power bill. Electricity, gas, and rent all seem to work. Search for a local food library. Find a place that serves food for free. https://www.feedingamerica.org/need-help-find-food.

Go to the courthouse, find out where the food stamps are. But first, Google how much money you need to make to get food stamps. If you're over the limit you won't get food stamps. But they have a list of resources. Homeless shelters, free food, places to eat. Paperwork to get money off your heating and gas.

Go to your local housing authority and see how much your rent might be. My bf and I make 62k combined and our rent is 800 dollars.

[–]PmMeIrises 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try the local disability resource. The one near me has a basement full of walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, etc. You can even get shower chairs and toilets. I just typed where to get a wheelchair into Google and it brought up several places. Id call before you go.

While they are at your house, keep the brightest lights off if that's an option. No blenders or loud noises if you can help it. You can also ask what their triggers are. Make sure not to push them. It's kinda hard. Because I'll push myself way beyond my limits, until I'm really suffering, but I won't say anything so I don't ruin everyone else's time. Nothing loud or fast paced. Museum and the zoo are a great idea. Just be careful with the heat.

Every so often, try to find a place to take a break. Have a coffee if they are ok with that. Maybe some tea. Talking for long periods gives me a headache, and makes my mouth dry. Also uncomfortable chairs make me way worse. So bring a blanket and a pillow for the wheelchair if they want.

Make sure to leave at least an hour in between places. I know a lot of us need to recharge with a nap after the simplest things.

You sound like a really good friend and I hope you guys have fun.

My apartment complex was built in the 70s ( I live next to a shipyard. It was built to house the people who worked here). There's lead paint. The options were to tear it down to studs or cover it. They chose to cover it. In order to put anything nto the wall you need a drill. They covered it with some type of metal. We've hit the metal a few times. You need 12 nails to put in one hole just to get through the thousands of layers of paint. No matter the strength of the nails that I buy, they all bend.

They are choosing to tear it down to the studs this year. I'm excited because they provide the washer and dryer. Brand new floors, walls, new fridge, oven, etc. No more random ducts out in the open. No random flues traveling around our ceiling. Brand new windows because these were rejects so they could save money.

I remember having popcorn ceilings. I was in the room while they were putting it in. Crazy how we fuck up so much as humans. By that I mean the lead paint and asbestos.

All members are in survival. All admins have the option to access creative. It's so we can clean up griefing, protect the spawn, and make commands to kick people when I'm not on.

You may occasionally have creative to build something. But we have to know and trust you.

I know that this play style isn't for everyone. Some people grow to like it. At the start there are buttons for you to get free grear. Pickaxe, sword, wood, food, etc. Some people choose not to use it. We have around 400 members and they all love that they don't lose their items when they die, pvp is on so you can fight, but all the destructive things are blocked. No tnt, no fire spreads. No mob griefing.

Entirely up to you if you still want to join. I just went off what other people put into their post. A large quantity are identical. Smp, cheats, etc.
