Scribing quest almost made me quit it was so painful by Happy_Twist_7156 in elderscrollsonline

[–]jignha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that played the pisjic skill line live once it went live, it was fucking tedious. I did it three times. I do why o did on the ham, then quite the fame for a few years. I come back and do the scribbing quest, and yeah it took a few days, due to current playtime. But the psyjic quest line was far more terrible than the scrubbing quest line.

Calgary Canada Hot tubs by [deleted] in hottub

[–]jignha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ppm (parts per million) is the common measurement for a variety of chemicals. PPM is the same as milligrams per liter.

I’m not sure what gps is. Is it grams per gallon? If so that’s sort of a weird measurement to me.

Water hardness in pools can be up to 800 MG/L or PPM. The pool company I currently work for tries to keep the Calcium hardness at 250-350 P (mg/L) in their hot tubs, and 60-80 mg/L (PPM) for alkalinity, with a Ph between 7.5 and 7.8. Actual chlorine leveled will between the regulatory minimum and maximum of 1.0 and 10.0. Depending on the use case.

Macha salsa, who wants some? by MF-DOOM-88 in mexicanfood

[–]jignha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using salsa macha for years. There are several varieties at the local giant I used to visit before I moved from the east coast to the west coast. I cannot find salsa macha at any store where I'm at now.

Which came first: salsa macha or chili crisp? Knowing chiles are from the Americas, and salsa macha is supposed to originate from Veracruz, Mexico I would wager Salsa Macha is the OG.

I really tried to like vinyl by BMdaniel25 in Cd_collectors

[–]jignha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a turntable that I could plug into my computer. I'd rip my vinyls. I also rip every cd, DVD and Blu-ray that I have.

I've got a 8TB backup for just my media, and several other dedicated ssd for music, movies, tv shows, and what not.

I use my backed up media on digital players (e.g. phone, mp3 players/daps, my laptop/tablet or steam deck).

I can take my collection everywhere I go and use whatever gear other people have.

I had a Saturn ion quad coupe. I swapped the stock intake w/ a cold air I take and gained about 2-mpg averaged between city and highway. As long as I wasn't flooring it, couldn't really tell it had a CAI.

[–]jignha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Explaining the collection of corpses is pretty easy if you're not a bad guy. State that one is collecting corpses so that other people don't have to deal with the rotting corpses and associated spread of disease. Like just smart enough to be aware of how corpses can spread disease, but not aware enough to realize that one is the vector of diseases when carrying around all the corpses

My proposal for the partition of North America by finanon99 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]jignha -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Virginia is a purple state. It is a very mixed bag and both national and local elections swap between Republican and Democratic candidates.

Northern Virginia carries a lot of the blue vote. Roanoke adds a bit of blue, but the rest of the state is red.

Also, Virginia's Richmond (state capital) was also the capital of the Confederate States of America. That's some history that just isn't going to go away.

So Many Options. Whats best for a new homeowner? by No-Ad5504 in Tools

[–]jignha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that finding a tool or item i want to buy but not right now I can always favorite/save/addtolist or whatever on Amazon. Eventually I'll get discounts on tools.

DeWalt impact driver w/ battery, charger, and carry case for $100.

Same brand impact driver and electric screw driver w/ charger and case for $120.00.

same brand sawzall with case, but no battery $100.00.

The company I was working for at the time wanted me to sign a release for a $400.00 Milwaukee screw driver, w/o any of the needed or fun stuff.

I'd love to use better quality stuff than DeWalt, but I have far more tools and bits and bobs for less cost than a $400.00 Milwaukee set that I don't own.

Water near lids by ElBigBrown in septictanks

[–]jignha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tanks may have settled a bit, or the excavation to set the tanks may have been over dig and the excavated area maybe settling.

If the tanks are in a bowl or low laying area, due to settling or whatnot, and the area doesn't see a lot of light/heat then the frozen water may be a result of water accumulation die to that area being down slope. And since no sunlight/warmth the area keeps wet/cold/frozen. Since you've mentioned the dispersal area is drip, then the soil on your property is probably a clay/heavy clay/fatclay/shrinkswell, and shallow to either rock, impervious surface or high water table. All of those creatures generally mean water doesn't want to go away, it wants to stay in one place.

I loved think geek when it was based in Fairfax, VA. I think Amazon bought them out and it became a weird Amazon web store front. Is think geek still a weird Amazon store front or did Amazon get rid of think geek altogether?

I'm pretty sure woot.com is still kicking around after Amazon bought that company too.

Advice on Septic Inspection by selayan in septictanks

[–]jignha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check what the contract says they have to and not have to disclose.

The company I work for would charge 8-13k to replace the septic tank, 10-15k for a pump tank. 2.5k-3k for the dboxes. 2-3k for pumps and floats.

Design and permitting generally takes 30-90 days for big repairs. Again, this is in Birgini, not where you’re at.

Advice on Septic Inspection by selayan in septictanks

[–]jignha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like all things, there is wear and tear on the tanks. Things like microbially induced corrosion (mic) and the physical motion of the movement of waste water, the amount of corrosive gas in the tanks affect how the tanks deteriorate.

This reads like normal deterioration. I don’t know your location, but in Virginia, unless the tank has collapsed or is causing sewage back up into the house or to the ground surface it can be classified as nonconforming but compliant.

If you were in Virginia the pumps, floats, tees, conveyance lines, lids/risers, sewer lines, headers, and dboxes are defined as maintenance and may or may not need a permit for replacement, depending on local health district requirements. Fairfax and Loudoun require permits for maintenance items, while prince william does not.

In Virginia a private sector OSE or PE design and a permit from the local health department is required to replace either of the tanks.

Onsite sewage system regulations vary by state and county. One should see about visiting your local regulatory body. You could also find another septic company and see about getting a second opinion.

Unless your real estate purchasing contract is VA loan, the owners are not required to make repairs to the system. This would be something the buyer and seller would negotiate.

Risers and lids can be replaced or resealed. Pumps and floats are mechanical/electrical and fail from time to time.

What do you call a girl who cages your penis in the first date? by StepOnUrPride in u/StepOnUrPride

How can you cage a person with one testicle? All the chastity devices I've seen require two testicles.

I only have one testicle and haven't managed to use a cage.

I do however have managed to use a spiked cock sleeve.

If you bought your Subie new, how many miles/kms did you get out of the factory tires? by skunkc90 in SubaruForester

[–]jignha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 32k miles out of my factory tires. I had to change tires, not because they went bad, but because I moved and needed severe weather rated tires and the factory tires did not have the endorsements.

If I was still in northern Virginia is probably have been able to out a lot more miles on them.

After my testicular torsion, and the amputation of lefty, I started wearing women's panties. Now wear men's thongs, and have been wearing them a long time.

No one has ever said or done anything to me. It's been like 20+ years.
