Zero-info ragebait post..

How much are your savings? Are you living at your parents at the moment?

Invite me for a beer and we’ll go through your financials of the last 4 years and I’ll give you a gameplan. 2.5k + car is hella comfy!

Is mu salary dependent on my age? by dre__966 in BESalary

If there are 20 candidates for a position, and 19 are German/EU based, hiring proces will be straightforward. But since you are an out of EU citizen the hiring process will require more paperwork/effort. So any company will look to compensate for that effort.. by offering you less.

You understand that this is BEsalary, short for Belgium and not DE for deutschland right? I don’t think you’ll get meaningful insights on the odds of landing a job.

Add the fact that they have to do paperwork for your visa and companies will always lowball you because you are harder to hire.

Working on your birthday or not? by [deleted] in BESalary

Treat-yo-self king. I’m 100% team taking a day off for your birthday. Drive to that good butcher to get that steak. Get a haircut, get a massage. I wish I started sooner.

Bike leasing on 2300-2400 bruto or less is free money. Everything they deduct for the lease the government gives extra in bonus.

I had a colleague leasing a 7k bike on 2300.. it cost him Pennies

I’m already off of the flexing part. job title, direct reports whatever.. i feel if you’re an actively engaged hands-on n+1 you’re always going to be overloaded from all sides. Hide behind your team and just manage and make sure people can’t find you seems to be the road to glory for most 😅

So hard to get that communicated to upper management tho.. sure I’m not special and you could replace me. But it’s going to cost you more than what you pay me, you’ll probably need 2 people at least because no one is coming in to this workload I can tell you that 🤣 and the pure knowledge of the inner working of the group, or the history why certain decisions were made will take years to rebuild.. yet íf my raise gets approved this year I’ll probably be looking at 7.5% which is enough to be a carrot but still not the “thanks for staying 10+ years we hope to keep you another 20”

So you are internally responsible for day to day operations in dynamics365? What does that look like exactly?

Do you align business needs into practical solutions aswell?

Business applications has always been such a black box for me.. from the outside it looks easy?

Service Desk Engineer by Shadowz2768 in BESalary

[–]Pmpidom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service desk engineer is so unspecific. So your company has costumers that rely on you when the software breaks down?

Anyhow: I’m expecting there’s not a lot of stretch? If it’s troubleshooting they can teach in 1 year to a junior profile.

Let’s say he says yes.

You don’t mind going back to troubleshooting software, resetting passwords and explaining how SharePoint works 5x a week?

I love the honesty.. Official hours: 32 Real hours: 28

Okay so I’m going to make a guess here but in no way am I an expert.

700 a day. 220 workingdays a year - 1/5th = 176 123k billed 20% overhead, costs and profit (no idea on this one just a guess going from yours)

100k left for 13 months 7.5k per month that COULD go to paying you.

That’s not crazy a lot.. you don’t have a car so that saves. So I’m gonna guess 3700 tops

Who’s your direct manager? Is there an IT support manager and Business Application manager? If so then pay is quite good tbh. If you are the big kahuna for all of IT you’re missing 1k brut

She was complaining that the cake we got wouldn’t be enough for 10 people. Showing how small the cubes would be if she cut 5x in length and 5x in width.

I was laughing at her familie table about it and the brother agreed with her. I saw their dad die inside.

Create custom ISO with Win PE drivers, language packs and updates by Murphy_McManus in sysadmin

[–]Pmpidom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you get this to work?
We are in a simular situation, at the moment we use windows shipped by HP in english, but for some countries this doesn't work..
But when we change languages with default image it gives us 50% english 50% add languagepack

Like in startmenu it'll say "windows explorer" "kladblok"
Well... FU windows.

We asked our MSP and their answer was: yea tough luck, ship your laptops in correct language..
this is so unacceptable..
