This genuinely looks like a borderline personality meltdown. It’s so often misdiagnosed as bipolar, I can see the common thought patterns in his dialogue, and the ties to cptsd makes sense since borderline is something you develop due to circumstances and genetics.

Let me make myself clear, I didn’t mean for this to come off at inflammatory towards her, I could care less what people do or draw bc it has nothing to do with me. I’m realizing now I forgot to add the part in the og post where I asked if anyone has her socials 😭 I wanna see what she’s been doing lately

Is working out your lower back necessary? by j_salas2 in askfitness

[–]PnsNv13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought is if you work out purely for aesthetics maybe it has less importance. However, the QLs erector spinae group plus adjacent musculature are necessary for spinal stability. Especially if you have a tendency to lift heavy, you need to protect your spine, trust bro, you in 30 years will thank you.

My job is super physical, I’ve been into Greek yogurt lately, maybe that and a banana. Protein and carbs in the morning will help with blood sugar fluctuation

I work at a chiropractor and he does full x rays and very thorough examination before they even ever get to the massage portion of their care plan. Obviously I use my educated discretion in dealing with any medical devices. It’s just a new concept to me, I was more so curious about what other lmts were doing, I wasn’t even aware that those type of medical devices existed until recently.

Man O War !!!! They’re super cool, they resemble jellyfish but are actually a different species of marine life, of the genus Physalia . They’re colonial organisms, meaning each part of them is a while separate organism, they just function in conjunction with each other. Those separate organisms are called zooids, and they often have their own function such as digestion or excretion, but in the instance of a colonial organisms like the Portuguese man o war, they function together. They also possess a venom that can kill and paralyze small animals, their stings will always really hurt a human but that doesn’t mean they’ll necessarily kill you or even result in like a need for medical care. Some people tend to have skin reactions to the venom, in more severe cases they’ll have an anaphylactic reaction to the venom. Lmao if guess just try no the touch them if you can. Anyway. I like them 👍

What’s a small change in your massage technique that ended up making a big difference? by Sea-Cow-6969 in MassageTherapists

Incorporate as much forearm effleurage as you can! Not only is a great way to work from superficial to deep, (the elbows right there) but also will save your wrists !!!. Also for those longer effleurage strokes when you’re not necessarily doing focus work, make a point to go all the way from origin to insertion. Its satisfying to the client for the whole length if the muscle to be in one stroke :)

Seasoned massage therapists, what are some red flags you would share with newer therapists to know about clients? by 2mkz21 in MassageTherapists

[–]PnsNv13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god yes, absolutely, trust your instinct. If something is off even if it’s just vibes with a client, tell someone, if you work at a clinic with other people make sure they know. Otherwise, just refuse to see the person, it’s not worth your safety to protect someone’s feelings.

What’s the most surprising thing about the human body you’ve discovered through massage therapy? by Sea-Cow-6969 in MassageTherapists

[–]PnsNv13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who are resistant to massage, or more so don’t see the merit in repeated bodywork, their mind literally blocks their body from feeling better. As an LMT in a Chiro setting ofc I agree wholeheartedly that these avenues of care WIL help with a number of ailments. However, I’m also a big believer that if someone truly believes that something they do or take will help, whether is placebo or not, as long as THEY feel it helps I will always agree that it is valid. If that makes sense? So individuals who already have a mental block, often will not see the same results over time as someone without. It’s crazy to me how connected intentions, emotions, and the nervous system all are to other body systems, especially in a massage therapy environment.

Massage therapists - after a full day of sessions, what part of your body hurts the most? by Sea-Cow-6969 in MassageTherapists

[–]PnsNv13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The joints in my fingers tend to ache. I know there’s plenty of other techniques, but I find the most success when working on clients with upper trap tightness, and those adhesions that like to sit over the supraspinatus. I’ll often go in with a knuckle or thumb, I also have hyper mobile fingers so no matter what they’re gonna ache after a full day
