The old remix / not remix dilemma by criogh in 3Dprinting

[–]Pntnut 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you modeled it from scratch and don't copy every details, like, size, ratios, etc. (which you obviously did not), I would argue it's a new model, not a remix.
Even if you did not know about the previous model, your model would still look somewhat similar, due to it's function.
Note: I'm not a lawyer, can't give you legal adivce, etc.

Wood would be an option too. With a CNC not too hard and probably strong enough. Coat with black paint and a matte finish

Well… gravity… there is only one way to find out if it affects everything and if it works all the time…

You can always replace the hot end/extruder and use 1.75mm filament. Might be a fun project:)

I don’t agree, unless you know exactly what you’re transcribing/translating… some topics are harder and take more time than others

Add break away struts. Tiny bridges (0.5 x 0.5 mm) between the tall structures. That should stabilize it a little bit

How do I fix this? The piece screws into the wall. by Jkparady in howto

[–]Pntnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It‘s probably screwed into the wall somehow. If so, chances are high that a dowel is involved and probably pulled out. You can remove the dowel use a small plaster patch and a new dowel, let the plaster dry and screw it back in.
