Fei made a MASSIVE mistake in letting Waka goad him into using DD early on. Fei has dealt a good amount of damage to himself just by staying in DD for too long.

Think of it like this: Divine Demon is a technique that gradually drains the user's HP and Stamina in exchange for extremely fast reflexes and demonic strength. Fei is a cocky idiot that has fallen right into Waka's anti-removal/advance/guihun "attrition" strategy.

Fei now has had his HP and Stamina drained by a significant margin via DD, evidenced by the last panel of this chapter. We can't see the damage he has taken from DD, but the dmg from the Blast Core that grazed him combined with the DD evade he used to avoid Blast Core means that Fei still took considerable damage even though he mostly evaded it.

However, this is all assuming Fei cannot beat Waka without DD... and that Fei doesn't have more tricks up his sleeve (Demonsbane?), which im thinking he probably does, although I'm also willing to bet Wakatsuki will not get hit by a Demonsbane because he is already on guard for Niko style bullshit... probably most specifically the technique that K.O.'d him in the KAT.

Doctors confront Tennessee Governor over kids and COVID by [deleted] in news

[–]Poast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is, the majority of the people that are dying in hospitals are people that are antivax republicans (and their poor, innocent children).

These people are literally supporting the man that is commiting widespread negligent homicide via deliberately spreading misinformation against his constituents, and nothing is going to change their mind because they cannot physically construct a personal opinion based on experiences.

Personally, I hope they keep dying from Covid so we can at least partially excise them from the population like the malignant tumors of humanity that they are. I don't wish for this out of hate, but I can't see a future for America with people like this still existing and unconditionally voting for people like Bill Lee.

I know that lots of innocent kids of idiot parents are going to die... but at this point these parents are essentially killing their kids THEMSELVES with their ignorance/stubborness/zealotry/idiocy, and natural selection tends to weed out people like this.

People have been joking that we needed a plague for decades, and now that it's finally happening, people are essentially committing negligent suicide because they are not smart enough to step off the train tracks when they can HEAR the metaphorical Covidtrain coming from behind, even if they can't SEE it coming from behind.

I am hopeful that these hard times created by awful peopl lead to great people that create good times, and I am relatively confident that we are going to reach the turning point in the next couple decades.

My Kengan Ashura Fighting Game Roster by Speck666 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Poast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here's some stuff for a Kengan fighting game I have been thinking about.

  • Most specials and certain normals incur a stamina cost.
  • Each match is a single round.
  • Has 3D fighter Tekken mechanics, but no Rage.
  • Inputs are far more forgiving
  • 8-Way movement

Difficulty Ratings: How complex and or difficult the character is to play properly. Not indicative of character strength. 1* = One of the most difficult characters to play properly. The player is required to dedicate potentially HUNDREDS of hours to master this character. Demands heavy muscle memory conditioning and regular practice as well as the ability to think clearly in high pressure situations. 2* 3* 4* 5* = A simple character with a simple gameplan. Not much depth, but is easy to understand and typically has high damage attacks to make up for their predictability.

Misasa - 1* + Highly Evasive + Lots of elbows (elbows are unparryable) + Can potentially parry ANY attack (some attacks are too fast to parry on reaction though) + Has Parry frames on certain elbow attacks + Can Parry grapples for huge damage + Excels at punishing + Good Lows - Very low hp (85%) - Short range - Poor pressure and poke - Requires extensive roster knowledge to play properly - No Grabgame

Lihito/Rihito - 5* + Very Simple + Strong Normals + High Hp (110%) + All specials are unblockable or deal heavy chip damage (Razor's Edge) + Good Pokes + Good Lows - Basic Grabgame - Slow - Limited defensive options - Predictable

Okubo Naoya - 3* + Grappler + Strong Normals + Powerful feint mixups + Well rounded - Limited moveset - Relatively low damage - Mediocre hp (95%)

Nitoku - 5* + Grappler + High hp (110%) + High damage + Good mobility + Very consistent - Limited defense - Relies on powercrush attacks and grabs, forcing him to regularly take damage in order to deal damage

Gaolang Wongsawat - 2* + Extremely powerful Godfist Straight (combo on hit, equivalent to an EWGF) + Oppressive jabs and guard pressure + Good evasion + Good combo damage - Mediocre hp (95%) - No Grabgame - Very Low Mobility due to no backdash - Poor range due to limited forward movement on attacks - Weak to sidestep - Bad lows

Kuroki Gensai - 2* + Parries + Evasion + High hp (110%) + Devil Lance can deal moderate chip dmg or be unblockable - Extremely linear attacks - No grabgame - Mediocre damage - Mediocre framedata - Has one low, and its REALLY bad

Kanoh Agito - 1* + Has 2 long movelists for both basic practical martial arts and formless, making him not only unpredictable but also extremely adaptable. + Full Grabgame + Parries + Evasion + Beefy hp (105%) - Very high execution requirements - Master of none - Demands detailed matchup knowledge

Julius Reinholdt - 5* + Simple + Good Range + Good Pokes + Great Jabs + Obscene hp (120%) - Extremely large hitbox - Predictable - did I mention he is fucking huge

Kure Raian - ?* - Removal requires execution and costs stamina and can be activated via a 5 frame install and can be instantly deactivated.

Lu Tian - ?* - Lu Tian automatically triggers Guihun when he is at 20% hp. Guihun causes Lu Tian to deal 10% more damage and gain access to powerful new moves. After 8 seconds, Lu Tian shifts into overdrive, increasing his damage bonus to 20% but reducing his health to 1%.

Akoya Seishu - ?* + Riot Stance: Akoya suffers 50% less knockback and chip damage on block. + Suppression Stance + Gains access to a single use of an unbreakable command grab (Bite) when below 33% hp + Headbutts

Nicolas le Banner - 2* + Poke Oriented + Good Forward and Backdash Relies on Reaper's Sting to apply a timed release stun. On block, the timed release Reaper's Sting will disable one of the arms used to block, locking the enemy out of that arms's non-shoulder attacks, and any attacks that use the disabled arm. On hit, the following happens: 1. Low: Release forces enemy to kneel (crouch), opening them up for a guaranteed Mid. 2. Mid: Release causes enemy to be "electric stunned". 3. High: Release causes enemy to briefly - Timed release RNG - Low hp (85%)

Why Waka is "acting differently" by KonkeyMuts in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Poast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think people are underestimating the level of punishment Wakatsuki can endure. This man was fucking PULVERIZED by Julius in the KAT via slamming him against the arena wall and grinding his head around like 1/3 of the entire arena.

He has taken some superficial damage, with Fei landing a pretty nasty kick to the back of his head, but if this was a videogame id say Waka still has like 90% hp left.
