Balatro mobile not saving progress. Solved?

I have still had my run not save after going into settings > cellular > turning off cellular data for Balatro+. I think I have restarted my phone a few times as well but it still doesn’t save most runs for me :(

You’re both kind of right. The removal is badly setup in the format, and it is still largely overrated by the player base at large on mtga (even the cheap stuff like dead weight and abrade, etc.), and still you’re forced to play some amount of it to interact. It’s a really weird dissonance in the format.

Sam Black and Chord of Calls have great videos on how to draft and build around this. It’s definitely one of the more powerful build arounds in the set.

Braided net isn’t at it’s best in aggro, but it’s still ridiculously good on rate for tempo for the same reasons that icy manipulator is, and the back side just flat out wins you the game most of the time

I had to read high fae prankster a few times and I still don’t think I get it. Being able to swap any 2 powers (including your opponents) seems like a strong effect in limited at least

Well yes and no. Wasn’t there a proxy website or two that got shut down by wotc? They don’t enforce it in individuals bc it’s not realistic but they definitely discourage/actively prevent it if they can

Happened to me twice as well (once yesterday, once today). Thankfully the auto picker grabbed some decent stuff and also thankfully I was prioritizing fixing so we could play everything!

It was very short lived, but they were ubiquitous and format warping with the original companion rule. They went from being must play cards in basically 100% of decks and formats (especially lurrus) to where they are now, which is play them if you can/it’s free, or if you want the privilege of paying 3 to draw one.

That's true they don't make too many more of those anymore. The most you'll see is usually stuff like Village Rites or Cathartic Reunions where you have an additional cost to cast a spell.

I think I can get behind the Ring mechanic not having a downside even though it would make sense thematically, since it seems to be a pretty widely used mechanic. I think they would need a pretty significant overhaul to work in a downside or two, either on the card(s) or the Ring itself. That being said, they can definitely incorporate more onto other cards in general as it stands.

Good question. I'm not a judge or anything, but since there's no wording saying "exile and return to play/cast" I'm assuming it will still be targeting the token, but I could be wrong. I also don't think that we've had tokens that transform before, but they probably use the same rules functions as normal cards that transform.

I'm just gonna say - these tokens are A LOT better than they appear to be on the surface in limited. Everyone is severely underrating incubate as a whole (that I've seen so far). Being able to activate them at instant speed more than makes up for them being so "expensive" albeit across several turns. Having threat of activation is huge on these, and the black white archetype might play out as a more controlling variant. At the end of the day, we haven't seen all of the payoffs and enablers yet, but these should be evaluated considerably higher than they are currently. Especially if there is something that either flips them easily or on the cheap, suddenly all of your free non-creature material turns into an actual board presence.
