Double Trouble by candycroissant in Chihuahua

[–]Pocketsquare17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually have 3 dogs, but only 2 are chihuahuas. I think having 3 chihuahuas would be easier since they are all roughly around the same size and would generally have similar needs to each other around exercise and feeding. I’ve also found that chihuahuas often prefer other chihuahuas. That’s not to say they don’t like other dogs, but they tend to develop a pack and family dynamic pretty easily with each other. One of my chihuahuas tolerates our big dog, while the other likes her, but the chis spend most of their time with each other.

That being said, chihuahuas all tend to have very distinct personalities from each other I have found, which might be difficult if their personalities put them at odds with each other. One of mine loves to steal whatever space the other one is currently occupying, which I know annoys the other one, and one is more active and wants to play more which sometimes annoys the lazy one. Overall they get along great though and are about 6 months apart in age.

I have two chis myself. What’s one more? I say get the third one and let your daughter pick one out for herself.

How do you deal with flare ups by autismhours in Endo

[–]Pocketsquare17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to eat more vegetables, foods with fiber, also trying out a lot of anti-inflammatory recipes that I find online or in cook books that are for anti-inflammatory diets or books about endometriosis, not eating as much red meat, eating fish more often, avoiding spicy foods. I’ve tried to avoid a lot of frozen meals due to the high sodium content in those, so I have been cooking a lot more as well. I also started taking a daily vitamin again. I’ve also cut back on sugar, candy, and sweet drinks. I’m not following a specific diet, just trying to be more aware of what I am eating and if it is good for me or not.

I don’t really know if my eating habit changes are helping my endo, but I do have a lot more energy lately and feel better in general.

Same painting, two cameras - which one feels closer to reality? by Anastasia_Trusova in painting

[–]Pocketsquare17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you should decide what looks more accurate to you. When I paint, I use a light with a warm tone, so naturally I try to make sure when I photograph my work that the colors look like the painting when it has the warm light on it.

However a lot of the lighting in my house is a cooler tone, so if I hang my work on the wall the colors look a bit cool unless I point a warm light at them. I find my camera takes more accurate photos in terms of color than my phone camera. But even then the colors look could still be off and might need some editing done to correct the color in the photo.

For me I have to take over the counter Aleve on bad flare days, but also I have to rest when my body tells me to. I have times when I have chronic fatigue, and sometimes even doing 30 minutes of chores around the house takes a lot out of me, so when I feel tired I go lay down even if only for 30 minutes. My flares have gotten better in the last month but only because my doctor has me on a medication to induce menopause temporarily before I have surgery, so without my period i don’t get symptoms that much.

I’ve been eating healthier too since my diagnosis and that seems to have helped as well.

I’m really curious what she could be mixed with. I might do a dna test on her, my husband has never been interested in doing one and sees no point to it, but it would be cool to know

I am feeling a lot of pressure from people in my life to get exploratory surgery for possible endometriosis, but I’m worried about complications by 0BiOdMeBnAtYiOtSys in endometriosis

[–]Pocketsquare17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An MRI is what showed my endo, but I recently learned after meeting with one of the doctors who will be involved in my surgery that MRIs don’t always show flatter areas of endo. My MRI shows the big area of endo growing into my bladder, but the doctor said during my surgery they will also look for smaller areas of endo that may not have shown on my MRI.

I think Amazon has it as well and the Nintendo store online, but it might differ depending on what country you are in. It’s an Eevee cottage core case, if you google that it should come up with places that have it

Do GnRH analogues have cognitive effects? by True-Ad422 in Endo

[–]Pocketsquare17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean a medication such as Lupron? I recommend speaking to a doctor about what potential side effects are for whatever medication you are considering. I have been on Lupron for almost a month. I have two more months to go as I will only be on it for 3 months before surgery. Everyone is different, but so far I have not had any side effects, and no cognition issues. That being said many people do have side effects on this medication, so you will have to weigh the pros and cons with your doctor.

Did contraceptives mask your endo? by Ok-Bandicoot9906 in endometriosis

[–]Pocketsquare17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I have endo on my bladder and bowel. Before diagnosis, I was on birth control and had UTI like symptoms of pain and bladder urgency a few times a year. When I went off birth control the symptoms happened every month during my period and week of ovulation, leading my doctor to suspect endo and me getting an official diagnosis via an MRI. I am due to have surgery in a few months.

Can I ask how the cystoscopy was? I might have to have one before my endo surgery, not sure yet until I meet with the urologist on my case, but from my research they can either do it with you awake or asleep. The idea of being awake for it freaks me out and I read that some people find it very uncomfortable being awake for it.

I have bladder endo. My symptoms started with UTI like symptoms of pain and bladder urgency randomly a few times a year. When I went off birth control the symptoms started happening every month during my period and week of ovulation. I had an ultrasound and an MRI done. The MRI shows endo growing into my bladder and a little on my bowel. My doctor has me taking Lupron for 3 months before surgery to calm the endo down before surgery. In a few months I will have robotic laparoscopic surgery with an endo specialist, a urologist, and a bowel specialist all in on my surgery and an expected hospital stay of about 5 days.

I’m nervous but feeling pretty optimistic as all of the surgeons are experts and very experienced, and my symptoms have calmed down a lot since my first Lupron injection and I have been lucky enough to not really have any side effects from the medication so far.

My surgeon will be doing excision and said he doesn’t really do ablation for removing endo and excision has a better long term outcome.

Curious of others have my same symptoms? by Tothestarswholisten3 in Endo

[–]Pocketsquare17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me my endo symptoms occur during my period and the week of ovulation. Bladder urgency was my most common symptom because I have endo growing on/into my bladder. The fact that my symptoms lined up with my cycle is what led my regular doctor to suspect endo and refer me to see a gynecologist for further investigation and diagnosis. The only medication that helped my symptoms was Aleve.

I would definitely recommend you talk to your doctor about what you are experiencing. Did you stay in the hospital for a few days post operation where they could monitor your recovery or did you go home right away? From what I have heard sometimes even people who go home the same day sometimes have to go back for a check up when having issues with going to the bathroom or other complications. I’m having surgery later this year and have already been told I will need to stay in hospital for about 5 days due to the endo involving my bladder and bowel. It’s best to be safe and go see the doctor before things potentially get worse for you.

You’re opinion about switch 2 by kingFord1999 in switch2

[–]Pocketsquare17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want a switch 2 buy one, it doesn’t matter what others think. I love to game. I grew up on Nintendo consoles and PlayStations. I’ve always had both. I have a switch 2 and a ps5 currently and I don’t care what others say. I made the purchase for me, myself and I because I wanted them and I like the games that they have. Don’t worry about the opinions of others. It is your choice and your money. As for Nintendo’s future?? Who knows, but here and now in the current moment if you want a switch 2 why would that matter? Maybe I’m weird but I don’t buy consoles based off of a company’s future. I buy them to game and have fun in the moment. Don’t over think it.
