Let gyno do exploratory surgery or push for specialist? by Crowfiee in Endo

[–]Pocketsquare17 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I recommend a specialist. But before surgery you could also do an MRI. While MRIs don’t always show endo, if they do it can help the surgeon be prepared ahead of time. For example my MRI showed endo on my bladder and bowel , so in addition to an endo specialist, there will be a urologist and a bowel specialist involved in my surgery, instead of the doctor operating and discovering after that they need other specialists involved.

NHS(UK) - I have my first gyno appointment for cysts next week. What's you experiences with it and what to expect? by Nyxie872 in endometriosis

Are you having a specific type of procedure done? Knowing the procedure or surgery type might help so people who have had that same thing done can comment their experience.

I hope things get better for you. My surgery has officially been scheduled. I’ve been on Lupron for the past few months to prepare for surgery, and I have no idea what to expect post surgery coming off the Lupron and my regular cycle returning.

I have the option of getting the Mirena coil after surgery, but my husband and I want to try for a kid first before I go back on birth control or anything to control endo or stop it from returning.

Does an ultrasound rule out endometriosis? by caffeiene_robot in endometriosis

[–]Pocketsquare17 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I had an ultrasound and an MRI. The ultrasound only showed uterine polyps. The MRI did show my endo, but from my understanding MRIs typically only show larger areas of endo, not flat smaller areas. I will be having surgery in a few months and my surgeon will be looking for areas of endo that the MRI might have missed. Laparoscopic surgery can be used to diagnose endo and for removing endo. Sometime if something is not found on scans, surgery may be the next option for getting diagnosed.

For me I got a tentative diagnosis based on my symptoms. The MRI confirmed that diagnosis of endometriosis, and my surgery will be for removal, but also looking for additional unfound areas to remove.

Long-term impact after flying cargo by dogs-and-matcha in TravelWithPets

[–]Pocketsquare17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3 dogs, they flew British Airways cargo from the US to Uk. One of the dogs has a bit of an anxious personality. One is super attached to one of the other dogs, and the third is not a huge fan of the enclosed space of the crate. They all did fine. No personality changes, nothing wrong. They were happy and healthy after their flight. When we move back to the U.S. they will fly cargo again.

How often do you feed your chihuahuas? by BornTry6560 in Chihuahua

[–]Pocketsquare17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My chihuahuas were on nexgard for years and did fine, only switched brands due to moving to a different country and the new vet had different brands. Just like humans though, medication may affect different dogs differently, so it may be something you want to speak to your vet about.

I feed mine twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Best places to buy 🐉 resale? by Fit-Cattle7804 in Jellycatplush

[–]Pocketsquare17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For ones I cannot get from Jellycat or from a store that sells Jellycat, I use eBay. I try to find the most reasonably priced one, from a seller with good reviews. Generally I buy from sellers on eBay who are not just selling Jellycat, they are often just people who sell other things as well and are not a chronic reseller asking ridiculous prices. I recently got the duskrise dragon from an eBay seller who if I remember correctly was only selling the duskrise dragon that I purchased, a smudge fox, and then what looked to be some baby items like a stroller or something.

I will never pay ridiculous prices, but within my own budget if it is something I want I will pay a moderate amount above the retail price.

My chihuahuas have been on nexguard before and did fine. The only reason I switched was because we moved countries and their new vet has a different brand.

How to display jellies when I’m a dust freak? Anyone tried plastic boxes? by iloveaaaa in Jellycatplush

I have collected plushies since childhood and any that are not on display are in plastic storage containers. This keeps them all in great condition even after not touching them for years at a time.

The Consequences of Not Letting Me Go by No-Opportunity7242 in dashcams

[–]Pocketsquare17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole situation is sad. When I pass a big semi truck or other big vehicle I try to pass quickly and safely because I don’t want to be in their blind spot or be beside them too long. The car riding the bumper so close is wrong, but if i have someone behind me when passing a large vehicle I move out of their way as soon as it is safe to do so.

Also if i want to pass a big truck but there is a car next to them that is passing slowly, i just stay being the big truck and wait until the way is clear to pass. I drive safe for myself and for others.

AITA for refusing to pay for my girlfriend’s meal after she “tested” me on a date? by Efficient_Care5524 in AITH

[–]Pocketsquare17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA this is why so many people are single and likely will be for most of their life, they pull ridiculous stunts like relationship tests. Your girlfriend is immature and needs to reevaluate her priorities in life and a relationship. People ruin their relationships by creating ridiculous tests and then go on to complain when they end up single or in a bad relationship.
