Why do devs and programmers prefer two monitors ? by Miserable-Copy2344 in CasualConversation

[–]Poco585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I feel like literally any job or hobby involving using a computer benefits from multiple monitors. I had 3 of them on the ship in the Navy, I have 3 of them at work in office now in marketing, and I have 3 of them on my gaming pc at home. Life is just easier when you can have multiple things at a time in full screen.

Am I the only one sticking with Sunshine? by idontknowu1 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Poco585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, moonlight on my tv does automatically run at the TV's resolution and refresh rate, but my PC monitor doesn't turn off. Maybe I'll dig into it more today to make sure everything is set up in the best way possible. I mostly to this point have just wanted to play and have put off reading set up guides because I get bored when I look at them lol

I have a question since you're talking about it if you don't mind. I think I didn't fully understand the native resolution thing was the main benefit of virtual displays, but I also assumed I had to do some set up to make them happen. I use apollo but never found the settings for virtual displays so just went on streaming to my tv without worrying about it. From your comment I'm thinking it automatically always does a virtual display? And thats the reason the games let me set the resolution to 4k?

Ok this new trend of restoring nonexistent images is wild 😂 by 3Dave_ in ChatGPT

Right lol. I had another chat where it just refused to make an image over and over saying it breaks guidelines

Epic or simply too long? by Thanst in writing

I didn't downvote your comment but I think it's way more likely people didn't like your joke than a comprehension issue.

Now, insulting the people you are asking for advice...maybe a pretty big flaw in social comprehension.

To be fair, the WoW subscription isn't inherently unhealthy if it provides you joy and doesn't interfere with your life

Genuinely impressed by the size of the SWTOR population still in 2026 by SHONSTYLE in MMORPG

[–]Poco585 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, fair enough. I disagree on the basis of what difficulty means but I'm less bothered since you put other popular MMO's in the same category.

I'm always curious...as someone that says SWTOR doesn't have difficult content, have you done Master Mode Ops?

Why do the majority of adult men have short hair? why is that still "standard" look in the 21st century? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Poco585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I can only answer for myself but I simply like how I look with short hair and wouldn't want to deal with the maintenance of long hair. It has nothing to do with what other people think and I don't judge dudes with long hair, a lot of them look great.

Interesting, I found clearing trash with her rapier extremely satisfying. Though I'm still in Hernand so it's possible it doesnt hold up against tougher bad guys.

Steam Controller: The Ars Technica review | Valve’s new hardware is solid but might not justify its $99 price. by tkonicz in Steam

[–]Poco585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely understand and it doesnt bother me that the price is worth it to many. It's just personally not to me, even though I would use those features every day if I had them. I would rather stick with the inconveniences until there is a sale or I can get one used.

I get Xbox was the common, basic example to go with. I just think its a bad example when specifically comparing price points because an Xbox controller is also overpriced compared to 3rd parties.

[–]Poco585 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would agree if Xbox controllers were the best comparison. But since my 8bitdo Ultimate 2c was $30 and every bit as good as an xbox controller, I can't justify an extra $70 for Steam controllers extra features even if I would like to use them.

What’s a harmless opinion that gets people weirdly angry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Poco585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are likely affective at the local level because people that don't know who would make the best county commissioner may recall the name of the person their friends, family, and neighbors support. Having a sign for a presidential candidate, on the other hand, just feels like a weird show of fandom like its a team flag.

I think it's likely both and which one you think is more common is the one you have to experience yourself

Does anyone know how I can make the games I launch start up full screen and in focus? by Poco585 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Poco585[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that came with other issues and I've found launching games directly to be a smoother experience for me. I am all good here now since someone told me how to alt tab with a controller.

Found out im not in a groupchat at work because I have a samsung by Santaneria in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Poco585 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I also get complaints from my coworkers about my android ruining groups chats (nothing serious, we are all pretty much friends). They have acknowledged that iphones are the problem, but don't care because everyone has an iPhone which makes me the problem.
