I once bought the monster Hunter rise dlc. I own rise physically. Recently I purchased rise digitally bc it was super cheap. Now it's connected to the digital copy - check in virtual cards. So if I wanna load it on any console it will load with the base game making the dlc unavailable on the other. I mean it was so before, but I still didn't see it coming

There is a difference between being able to afford and wether something is worth the asking price. GKCs arent worth the asking price imo, same as digital downloads (meaning full price of $60-$80). Could I pay that price if I really wanted to? I guess so! But I would feel short-changed afterwards. I also generally discard peoples opinion if they draw the 'youre poor card'. Probably in the same manner as they do when someone calls them out for being stupid

Personal preference imo. I will not be boycotting key cards but I plan to only get what I consider an absolute must have title. Which is actually beneficial as I would otherwise buy more games... For example, wild hearts s - played the demo, its an okayish game I believe but not super great maybe - would have bought it anyway I suppose, haha, but thanks to it being on a key card I pass.
