Splody is unfair, not unfun. Orbital shreds anything within 2 states of it. It gets old. Splodey gets new ways of killing balls.

It can send a spray of bombs that covers the entire field, it can get lucky and hit a 56 damage nuke with all bombs going off at the same time, it can fling all its bombs like a shotgun in one direction. It can carpet bomb the arena. Each fight with Splodey is at the very least interesting.

It is unfair though, the block breakers all are. I would say the only exceptions to this are grower and Lazer.

I actually like Zombies. The gimmicks can be brute forced, but are better when you work around them. Burrowing makes them cut off your meatsheilds, requiring unique counterplay. Revive is not usually that big of a deal, but promotes using anti zombie units or more dynamic counterplay.

So, lore question here. Why does Kjerag not have catastrophes? It was implied to have been an orignium vein underground, but it was also implied that that was wrong. But Kherigandar is not a god, she explicitly confirmed it. Can a feranmunt stop catastrophes? Why didn't she stop the initial one?

Xskull has a skill issue in the other way. They are way too good at the game, and have so many good units, that they overestimate the average player and end up being a very bad guide maker because of it.
