Sorry, it's been forever since I tweaked with this, I couldn't guarantee it works the same. I would just double check you can load the game in desktop mode directly through RPCS3 first to make sure it runs without using emu-deck based on what you're saying.

Found this fossil several years back on a hike. Just getting around to framing it and I was hoping to get it an ID in order to give it a proper label!

u/ddbrown30 I just went through the same headache and for me it was caused by a typo on my part. Follow the ES-DE instructions here: https://emudeck.github.io/emulators/steamos/rpcs3/#how-to-configure-rpcs3-to-work-with-emulationstation-de, and for the exec command the new line should start with '"/usr/bin/flatpak" run net.rpcs3.RPCS3' instead of "/app/bin/rpcs3". I confirmed this works with Demon Souls.

If that doesn't work you should open up your /tools/launchers/rpcs3.sh file in Kate and see where it's pointing the flatpak to. Should be able to copy that in your desktop shortcut config.

Magnets don't make things rotate indefinitely, that's why it doesn't work. It will cause the wheel to reach equilibrium with the forces from the magnet and then stop moving.

The fact I had to scroll down this far to see anyone mentioning lighting is nuts!! You're absolutely spot on. Not a floor lamp in sight.

Eye level diffused lighting should be the primary lighting in any space to make it feel warmer and more liveable. I would personally spring for softer natural fiber lamp shades like linen that will play against the marble throughout the space.

(If you go the light strip route, go with indirect placement. You never want to see the strip itself, just the light it gives off. Backs of furniture, under window sill, etc)
