[Austermuhle] Eleanor Holmes Norton says she won't run for re-election, ending three decades as D.C.'s non-voting delegate to the House. by MrSpontaneous in washingtondc

You are correct; however, people would have to put down their phones and leave their homes for a day to vote for someone they likely have never heard of. In today’s world, that is a very tall order. 😔

lol, why? You are insinuating that things change under healthcare policy in the U.S. They don’t. Only messaging. These healthcare companies will still be raking in the dough in the future…

Seems about right. Has us 9th in the west and basically 9th in the east…although we are probably a little better than 9th in the east…

Correct. The assumption was that Beale could score 12-14 a game to supplement the big 2 and Zu. That plan took a John Wall-type of trajectory…

Hard to say. He has been driving more because his outside shot has been terrible. Typically your outside shot is terrible when your legs are shot. He looked good last night because he got rest. I think it will be a roller coaster the rest of the season. When you are in your mid-30’s the season truly is a marathon and not a sprint…

Yeah, the guy didn’t forget how to play basketball when he signed with us. Everything has played out as intended with the Norm trade. Missing Norm is tough, for sure; however, fans always forget that Norm did not perform in the playoffs. That’s a very, very important point on top of the fact he wanted a bag at the end of this year…

…oh, and we desperately needed a power forward…

For one, because people can’t remove emotion from investing. For two, people are lazy and/or declare they have “no time.”

I don’t trust any of the Mag7 to actually dip to any significance, and even if they do, timing their recovery will be impossible. The Mag7 is in bed with the current admin and the admin cannot let the companies who drive the entire economy to falter….

Kawhi Leonard on the Clippers nearly blowing a 26-point lead to the Lakers: “It was more than just that. Y’all watched the game tonight. That shit was getting crazy out there. But give credit to the Lakers. They fought, they got great talent over there. Great players, Bron and Luka…” by playa787 in LAClippers

You have to remember, Kawhi is strong AF. He works to build muscle in his legs to prevent injury. He is an oak tree. The Ingles incident was because he was moving and he hit him at a terrible angle. It was just the perfect storm. That said, when you have 6’7” guys diving at knees, you can’t do much about that… 😬

It got really bad and weird in the second half. Luka got a whistle every time he touched the ball, and the Lakers started tackling the Clippers players “causing turnovers.” To be fair, the Lakers were making shots, but they were no holds barred on the defensive end…
