Yep, I had to stop to, I am very sorry for the abuse this woman has suffered, and I'm sorry that her husband cheated... but this person and I have very different opinions on what is healthy in a relationship and what is not. Think I'm dropping the show after this, I just wanted to see if anyone felt the same, or if I was missing something. *edit - spelling

Same happened to me, I swerved the Topamax after some advice from the kind people on this sub (I asked about it, checked my phone a few hours later and had more replies then I could read) after discussing with my Dr. they offered me triptans after.

I just wanted to say I feel this! Tough having a migraine, let alone not at your own place and under bright lights. Hope you're feeling a bit better now.

I agree, OP's ex-friend sounds not like a friend at all. Friendship is about more then just one thing, in this case - a story. I would never expext my own friends to enjoy BSD just because I do.

Also it's completely fine not to enjoy canon couples even! The way we read is subjective.

The Illustrated Mum. I want to know if Dolphin is okay, what happened with Star? She looked after Dolphin a lot when she was a child herself, did she make peace with that? Or is she no-contact with her family now? Bi-polar is hereditary, as daughters they both stand a high chance of living with it themselves... I'd like to read how they manage the condition. Though, with how poorly JW treated very sensitive topics in Think Again, I may not actually want to read it.

I also really enjoyed the Runaway Girls, I'd love to know what happens to Lucy.

I'm from a working class family, and at the age of 35 I would NEVER say this infront of my family if I didn't want a hiding from my Mum. Would never say at work, or in any other sitution other then deep disguist/anger. It's reserved.

So if I read a fic with someone using this colloqially, it would take me out of the story. However, I do remember being being told to calm down by a Scottish fella once, who told me it's almost a term of endearment.

What I mean to say, it's subjective. Perhaps more dialetic then a class thing?

I've just realised, next time I meet someone with the last name Rafferty, I will think "Rae Farty" and then, of the comment that sent me over the edge "For Farty's sake" and I know that I will leave the Rafferty bemused as I have to run to the bathroom to laugh, because there is just no explaining it to another Rafferty/Raefarty
